Endometrial cancer is one of the common gynecological diseases. What is the staging of endometrial cancer?

Many people don't know what endometrial cancer is. Endometrial cancer is one of the common gynecological diseases. The disease is quite harmful and mainly affects postmenopausal women. The peak incidence is between 50 and 60 years old. Less than 5% of cases occur in women under 40 years old. So, what is the staging of endometrial cancer?

More than 90% of patients with endometrial cancer have abnormal uterine bleeding (such as postmenopausal bleeding, repeated uterine bleeding before menopause). About 1/3 of women with postmenopausal bleeding have endometrial cancer. Among postmenopausal women, there may be vaginal discharge weeks or months before bleeding.

Stage IA, Grades 1, 2, or 3: The cancer is confined to the uterine body.

Stage IB, Grade 1, 2, 3: The cancer has invaded less than 1/2 of the myometrium.

Stage IC, Grade 1, 2, 3: The cancer has invaded more than 1/2 of the myometrium.

Stage nA, Grades 1, 2, 3: The cancer has spread to the glands of the endocervix but not beyond the uterine body.

Stage nB, grades 1, 2, or 3: The cancer has spread to the stroma of the cervix.

Stage IllA, Grades 1, 2, 3: Cancer invades the serosa and/or adnexa and/or peritoneal cavity, and cytological examination is positive.

Stage B, grades 1, 2, or 3: The cancer has metastasized to the vagina.

Stage C, Grade 1, 2, 3: The cancer has invaded the pelvic and/or para-aortic lymph nodes.

Stage WA, grades 1, 2, and 3: The cancer has invaded the bladder and/or intestinal mucosa.

WB stage, grade 1, 2, 3: The cancer has metastasized to distant organs, such as the abdominal cavity and/or inguinal lymph nodes.

Stage I grade 1 endometrial cancer without deep muscle invasion is often localized and has a high probability of lymph node metastasis.
