Is moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma scary? It needs to be treated as soon as possible

Is moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma scary? Hepatocellular carcinoma is liver cancer. The appearance of liver cancer undoubtedly brings great harm to patients. The disease is divided into primary liver cancer and secondary liver cancer in clinical practice. Patients mainly show symptoms such as pain in the liver area, abdominal distension, poor appetite, fatigue, and weight loss. The harm is very serious. So, is moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma scary?

The degree of differentiation of cancer can reflect the degree of malignancy. The higher the degree of differentiation, the closer it is to normal tissue cells and the lower the degree of malignancy. The lower the degree of differentiation, the higher the degree of malignancy. Moderate differentiation is between the two. Moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma is mid-stage liver cancer.

Symptoms of early liver cancer are often non-specific, while those of mid- to late-stage liver cancer are more common, with common clinical manifestations including pain in the liver area, abdominal distension, poor appetite, fatigue, weight loss, progressive hepatomegaly or upper abdominal mass, etc. Some patients have low-grade fever, jaundice, diarrhea, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, acute abdomen after liver cancer rupture, etc., while some patients have no obvious symptoms or only symptoms of metastatic lesions.

Individualized comprehensive treatment according to the different stages of liver cancer is the key to improving the efficacy; treatment methods include surgery, hepatic artery ligation, hepatic artery chemoembolization, radiofrequency, cryosurgery, laser, microwave, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Biological treatment and traditional Chinese medicine are also widely used in the treatment of liver cancer.

Surgery is the first choice and the most effective method for treating liver cancer. Surgical methods include radical liver resection, palliative liver resection, etc. For liver cancer that cannot be removed, intraoperative hepatic artery ligation, hepatic artery chemoembolization, radiofrequency, cryotherapy, laser, microwave, etc. can be used according to the specific situation, which has a certain effect. Primary liver cancer is also one of the indications for liver transplantation.

For patients with good general condition, good liver function, no cirrhosis, no jaundice, ascites, hypersplenism and esophageal varices, relatively localized tumor, no distant metastasis, but not suitable for surgical resection or recurrence after surgery, comprehensive treatment with radiation as the main method can be used. For patients who are estimated to be unresectable by surgery, radiation interventional treatment can also be performed.
