What is the difference between hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cancer? Different early reactions

Hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cancer are both very common malignant tumors, and the incidence of both is very high. Hepatocellular carcinoma is also known as primary liver cancer, which is a type of liver cancer. The early reactions of the two are different. When the symptoms of this disease are found, it is necessary to go to the hospital for diagnosis in time to get a better treatment plan.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a primary liver cancer with a high mortality rate. It is the most common malignant tumor worldwide, especially in Asia, Africa and southern Europe. Cancer cells are arranged in solid masses with dilated blood sinusoids around them. The cancer cells have unclear boundaries, are relatively uniform in size, and have wide plasma. The nucleus is single, round, and not obviously heteromorphic. Nuclear division is rare. So what are the differences between hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cancer?

Liver cancer refers to malignant tumors that occur in the liver, including primary liver cancer and metastatic liver cancer. When people talk about liver cancer, they are mostly referring to primary liver cancer. Primary liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in clinical practice. According to the latest statistics, there are about 600,000 new liver cancer patients in the world each year, ranking fifth among malignant tumors.

Primary liver cancer can be divided into hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma and mixed liver cancer according to cell type. According to the morphology of the tumor, it can be divided into nodular type, massive type and diffuse type. Primary liver cancer is a high-incidence disease in my country, and it is more common in men than in women. China is a country with a high incidence of hepatitis B. Most liver cancers in my country develop on the basis of hepatitis B cirrhosis. The number of hepatitis C patients is also gradually increasing, and hepatitis B will also develop into liver cancer. At present, the number of patients in my country accounts for more than half of the world's cases, accounting for 55% of the world's liver cancer patients. It has become a major killer that seriously threatens the health and lives of the Chinese people, and its danger should not be underestimated.

The early symptoms of liver cancer are very atypical and are often easily overlooked. The following symptoms can be used as a reference:

1. Obvious loss of appetite: abdominal distension, indigestion, sometimes nausea and vomiting;

2. Dull pain in the right upper abdomen: There may be persistent or intermittent pain in the liver area, which may sometimes be aggravated by changes in body position;

3. Fatigue, weight loss, unexplained fever and edema;

4. Jaundice, ascites, and skin itching;

5. It often manifests as nose bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding, etc. Some typical symptoms of liver cancer only occur when the disease progresses to the middle and late stages, and by then the opportunity for surgery has often been lost, so regular self-examination is very important.

If you feel tired and weak and cannot be relieved, it may be a sign of liver disease; if you feel a heaviness in the pit of your stomach, or dull pain in the upper right side of your abdomen, a feeling of pressure and discomfort, weight loss, unexplained fever and jaundice, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.
