How is hepatocellular carcinoma graded? It is divided into three stages

How is hepatocellular carcinoma graded? Hepatocellular carcinoma graded Hepatocellular carcinoma stages: Stage I: no obvious symptoms and signs of liver cancer, Stage II: beyond the stage I standard but without evidence of stage III. Stage III: obvious cachexia, jaundice, peritoneal effusion or distant metastasis.

Liver cancer grading refers to the degree of malignancy of cancer cells. Grade I liver cancer is a highly differentiated cancer cell state (low malignancy), and grade II: cancer cells are moderately differentiated (intermediate malignancy). Stage I liver cancer means: the liver tumor is an isolated tumor with no vascular invasion, no lymph node metastasis, and no distant metastasis. Stage II means: isolated tumor with vascular invasion or multiple tumors with a diameter of ≤125px, no lymph node metastasis, and no distant metastasis. Therefore, the higher the grade of liver cancer, the more serious it is.

Liver cancer is a common malignant tumor of the digestive system. The cause and exact molecular mechanism of primary liver cancer are not yet fully understood. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain and bloating, as well as digestive dysfunction. Most patients have concurrent chronic viral hepatitis.

Early liver cancer may not have any symptoms. As the tumor progresses, symptoms such as abdominal pain, jaundice, digestive system symptoms, progressive weight loss, etc. appear. When necessary, a biopsy is performed to clarify the pathological diagnosis. The above-mentioned classification also reflects the malignancy of the tumor. Generally speaking, the higher the grade, the more malignant the tumor is.
