What is the difference between liver hemangioma and liver cancer? There are four differences

Liver hemangioma and liver cancer are two different liver diseases with great differences. First, the nature of the diseases is different. Liver hemangioma is a benign tumor, while liver cancer is a malignant tumor. Secondly, the age of onset and the course of the disease are also different. The specific symptoms will also be very different. Although patients will feel some pain in the abdomen, the location of the pain is different. In addition, there are also great differences in B-ultrasound reactions.

Liver hemangioma and liver cancer are both common liver diseases. Patients with these two diseases will feel some pain in the liver. Therefore, many patients easily confuse the two diseases after they become ill, causing the disease to further develop and affect the patient's own health. In fact, the difference between liver hemangioma and liver is very large and essentially different. So, what are the differences between liver hemangioma and liver cancer?
1. Age of onset and course of disease
Hepatic hemangioma is likely to occur at any age. Liver cancer generally occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, with a relatively high incidence in men. Hepatic hemangioma has a long course and grows very slowly. It will not become cancerous or threaten life. It is a benign tumor. However, hepatocellular carcinoma grows very quickly, and cancer cells will migrate to bones, lymph nodes, and other parts of the body, which can cause serious complications to the body and even endanger life.
2. Different causes of disease
Hepatic hemangioma is caused by abnormal angiogenesis during embryonic development, which is mainly related to endocrine and is a benign liver tumor. The occurrence of liver cancer is related to many factors, such as chronic liver disease, parasitic infection, living in a highly polluted environment, contaminated food and genetics.
3. Different symptoms
The symptoms of liver hemangioma are very different from those of liver cancer. The diameter of liver hemangioma is less than 5cm, with no obvious symptoms and signs. Larger ones can feel a soft mass in the upper abdomen or under the ribs, but most of them have no signs of cirrhosis. Liver cancer is often accompanied by clinical symptoms such as liver pain, weight loss, and loss of appetite. When the tumor is large, in addition to feeling a hard mass in the liver area, there will also be some signs of cirrhosis.
4. Different B-ultrasound reactions
B-ultrasound results of liver hemangioma often show larger tumors with visible reticular structures, while smaller tumors are mostly bright masses. In liver cancer, B-ultrasound results often show bright masses or dark areas with clear boundaries, and a typical acoustic halo can be seen around them.
