What are the early symptoms of bone cancer? 6 major signs to remind you

The early symptoms of bone cancer are not obvious, so many bone cancer patients are already in the late stage of bone cancer when they find out that they have bone cancer, which seriously delays the best time for treatment. So what are the early symptoms of bone cancer? Let's follow the editor to take a look at the early symptoms of bone cancer.

1. Dysfunction

In the later stages of bone tumors, pain and swelling will impair the function of the affected area. If the disease progresses rapidly, the symptoms of functional impairment will be more obvious, and may be accompanied by muscle atrophy in the corresponding area.

2. Compression symptoms

Tumors growing into the cranial cavity and nasal cavity can compress the brain tissue and nasal cavity, resulting in symptoms of cranial compression and difficulty breathing; pelvic tumors can compress the rectum and bladder, causing difficulty in defecation and urination; spinal tumors can compress the spinal cord and cause paralysis.

3. Pain

This is the main symptom of bone tumors in the early stage. It is usually mild at the beginning and often intermittent. As the disease progresses, the pain may gradually increase and become more severe, and develop from intermittent to continuous. Most patients experience increased pain at night, which affects their sleep. The pain may be limited to a local area or radiate to a distant place.

4. Pathological fracture

The slightest external force on the tumor site can easily cause fractures. The fracture site is swollen and painful, and pathological spinal fractures are often accompanied by paraplegia.

5. Systemic symptoms

In the early stage of bone tumor, there are generally no obvious systemic symptoms. In the later stage, due to the consumption of tumor, stimulation of toxins and painful torture, a series of systemic symptoms may appear, such as insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, mental depression, pale complexion, progressive weight loss, anemia, cachexia, etc.

6. Deformity

Because the tumor affects the development and firmness of the limb bones, it is combined with deformities, which are more obvious in the lower limbs, such as coxa vara, genu valgum and genu varum.
