Is there a relationship between memory and IQ?

Memory is a living thing that enables people to remember and utilize a variety of useful information and is essential for survival. IQ refers to a person's ability to deal with problems. IQs vary in levels and have a great impact on personal development. Memory and IQ are two magical abilities that people must possess, but is there any relationship between memory and IQ?

Memory is a complex psychological process and a necessary condition for the development of intelligence. Current psychological research believes that memory is related to the following conditions.

Memory is an aspect of IQ, but it is also independent. Being able to understand and comprehend shows that there is no problem with IQ. The problem is memory. Things will be forgotten after a while, so it has little to do with IQ. Because the essence of memory is repetition, if something leaves a deep impression, it will be easier to remember.

But from the perspective of brain science, the two are related to each other. In fact, people with high IQs tend to have relatively better memories. But this is not absolute. There are also cases of extraordinary memory among some people who cannot take care of themselves. They are also called idiot geniuses. Both are the result of developed neural networks. There are more than 100 billion neurons in the human brain, some of which are responsible for management and analysis, and some for memory management. As long as the neural network is developed, both IQ and memory will improve. IQ mainly relies on the ability to analyze and reason through interaction between neurons. Memory is the ability to store and read information from the outside world. IQ relies more on thinking with the left brain, but memory is needed by both brains, but the right brain has stronger memory than the left brain. In fact, people who have developed their right brains well have better memory than those who have developed their left brains.

When studying brain waves, it was found that people are easier to understand and remember when they are in a concentrated state. However, many people understand concentration as high attention. In fact, when people are truly concentrated, the body is not in a tense state. The low beta waves emitted by the brain at this time are relatively even and soothing.

The memory capacity of the right brain is 1 million times that of the left brain, and it mainly performs imaging memory. If all memory is changed to imaging memory, then the memory capacity will be greatly improved.
