Gastric cancer and intestinal cancer are common malignant tumors in my country. The incidence of these two diseases is on the rise nationwide, but the early diagnosis rate is abnormally low. In the early stages of intestinal cancer and gastric cancer, the symptoms of gastrointestinal cancer are mostly not obvious, so patients will have some unnoticeable discomfort. So, in the early stages of gastrointestinal cancer, what signals from the body cannot be ignored?

When you experience abdominal discomfort (usually manifested as pain, bloating, and blood in the stool), you should go to the hospital for examination in time and then receive treatment according to the doctor's advice. Endoscopy is the preferred method for diagnosing gastrointestinal tumors.

In the early stages of the disease, most people tend to ignore the development of the disease. When they find symptoms such as pain, abdominal distension, and bloody stools, they do not go to the hospital for examination in time. Some people are afraid of pain and lack medical knowledge, so they are unwilling to undergo colonoscopy and gastroscopy. At present, my country has painless colonoscopy and gastroscopy, so patients do not need to be afraid of examination.

In fact, gastrointestinal cancer is not as scary as imagined. Whether gastric cancer and intestinal cancer can be cured depends entirely on the timing of discovery and the standardization of the treatment process. Surgical resection is still the most effective method for treating intestinal gastric cancer. Therefore, early examination and early detection are the basic methods for treating gastric cancer.

In my country, early gastric cancer only accounts for 5%-10% of the gastric cancer diagnosis rate. The reasons for the low diagnosis rate are as follows: 1. The onset of early gastric cancer is hidden, with no obvious symptoms and signs. It is difficult to detect and diagnose early. 2. Due to the popularity of stomach medicine, most patients take stomach medicine on their own after experiencing stomach symptoms, which to a certain extent masks the symptoms and signs, resulting in failure to detect and treat in time. 3. The diagnosis of early gastric cancer mainly relies on gastroscopy, but gastroscopy is painful to a certain extent. Due to the high cost of gastroscopy (general gastroscopy is about 360 yuan, painless gastroscopy is about 900 yuan), most patients are reluctant to undergo gastroscopy.

Colorectal cancer is a common malignant tumor, including colon cancer and rectal cancer. In the early stage, there are no symptoms or the symptoms are not obvious. As the disease progresses, its symptoms gradually appear, mainly manifested as changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, bloody stools and intestinal obstruction. Because the cancerous tumor is lower and harder, it is easy to cause bleeding and is often mistaken for "hemorrhoid" bleeding; its secondary infection is easily misdiagnosed as "enteritis" or "bacillary dysentery". The above reasons will affect the early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.
