Lung tumors, like other tumors, are divided into benign and malignant tumors. Benign lung tumors can usually be removed surgically, while malignant lung tumors, which we usually call lung cancer, are usually located in a location that is not easy to operate on, or when the lung tumor is detected, it has already spread and metastasized, and the situation is already quite serious. So, can lung tumors be cured? Before talking about the best treatments for lung tumors, I would like to talk about the early symptoms of lung tumors. After all, for all diseases, early detection and early treatment are the key to prolonging life. The early symptoms of lung tumors are generally as follows. 1. Chest tightness and shortness of breath: This is a relatively mild reminder of the early stages of lung cancer, but most people will not pay attention to it at this time. 2. Cough: Cough is the initial symptom in about one-half to two-thirds of patients. 3. Fever: The fever caused by lung tumors can easily be confused with fever by some people and can also last for a long time. Fever can be caused by obstructive pneumonia or tumor fever. 4. Chest pain: One-third to three-fifths of patients experience chest pain, but in fact, lung cancer has passed the true early stage at this time. Pain generally does not occur in the early stages of lung tumors. 5. Coughing up blood: This is a very obvious sign of lung cancer. One-third to one-half of patients have this symptom, most of which is occasional blood in the sputum. About one-third of patients have this symptom as the first symptom. Chemotherapy is the main treatment for lung cancer, and more than 90% of lung cancers require chemotherapy. The efficacy of chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer is relatively certain regardless of early or late stages, and even about 1% of early small cell lung cancers are cured through chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is also the main means of treating non-small cell lung cancer, and the tumor remission rate of chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer is 40% to 50%. Chemotherapy generally cannot cure non-small cell lung cancer, but can only prolong the patient's survival and improve the quality of life. Radiotherapy is most effective for small cell lung cancer, followed by squamous cell carcinoma, and the worst for adenocarcinoma. All adenocarcinomas are not sensitive to radiotherapy. Radiotherapy is a local treatment that often requires combined chemotherapy. The combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be done in a synchronous chemoradiotherapy or alternating chemoradiotherapy manner depending on the patient's condition. In addition, cancer is a chronic disease that consumes energy. Patients need to have enough nutrition in their diet, especially those who are undergoing treatment. Drug reactions often cause vomiting, loss of appetite and other digestive tract reactions. Therefore, a high-calorie, high-protein, high-vitamin, low-fat diet is recommended. Avoid overheated, overcold, hard, or overly acidic foods. Pay attention to increasing fluid intake and drink plenty of water. |
