What is the introduction of fibroids

After any disease occurs, it will cause great harm to us patients. Take fibroids for example. The occurrence of this disease makes many people very painful, so let us learn about the introduction of fibroids today. I hope the following content can bring some help to patients.

Fibroids are slow-growing benign tumors that originate from fibrous tissues and occur in adults and children. They usually occur on the body surface, but can also occur in organs such as the mouth, upper respiratory tract, intestines, ovaries, and kidneys. Based on the structural characteristics of the tumor, it is divided into hard fibroids and soft fibroids.

(I) Desmoid tumors refer to hard nodules with capsules and composed of proliferating fibrous tissue. They do not recur or metastasize after resection. Most desmoid tumors are small in size, with an average diameter of 2-3 cm. When the tumor nodules exceed 10 cm, other lesions must be considered. The tumor nodules are round or oval, or lobed, with obvious capsules, and the cut surface is grayish white and woven.

(ii) Soft fibroma, also known as skin tag, is commonly seen on the female vulva, face, armpits and trunk. Skin soft fibroma often protrudes outward and droops, forming a pedunculated polyp-like tumor nodule. It has no capsule and is soft in texture, so it is also called skin tag. The diameter of the tumor nodule is 1-2cm.

The onset of fibroma is closely related to diet, and patients with fibroma should pay more attention to diet. Patients with skin fibroma should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables such as cabbage, greens, tomatoes, lotus seeds, cabbage, water celery, eggplant, soybeans, cucumbers, bean sprouts, apples, bananas, persimmons, mangosteens, oranges, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, pine nuts, etc. Eat less health products containing high estrogen, avoid foods containing caffeine such as chocolate, carbonated soda, concentrated starchy pastries and fat dairy products, hormone-laden meats and finished sugars.

Fibroma is a slow-growing benign tumor derived from fibrous tissue. It is composed of well-differentiated subcutaneous connective tissue. It is more common in adults aged 40 to 50 years old and rarely becomes malignant. Treatment is mainly surgical resection.

Fibroids are often found under the skin, grow slowly, are generally small, have clear edges, smooth surfaces, are hard, and can be pushed. If mixed with other components, they become fibromyomas, fibroadenomas, fibrolipomas, etc. Fibroids, especially hard fibromas in the abdominal wall muscles, can become malignant and should be completely removed as soon as possible.
