Briefly describe what is fibroid

Many of our friends are troubled by fibroids. Although this disease is a benign tumor, it is still harmful to our body. Experts say that this disease is more common in young people. Now we ask experts to briefly describe what fibroids are, hoping to bring some help to our patients.

Fibroids are benign tumors that originate from fibrous connective tissues. There are different types of fibroids due to the different factors they contain. Because fibrous connective tissues are widely distributed in the human body and form the gaps between various organs, fibroids can occur anywhere in the body. The skin and subcutaneous tissues are the most common, and fibroids can also occur in the fascia, periosteum, nasopharynx, other mucosal tissues, and other organs such as breasts, ovaries, and kidneys.

They vary in size and grow slowly. They are composed of well-differentiated subcutaneous connective tissues. They are common in adults aged 40-50. The tumor grows slowly and usually stops growing after it grows to a certain size. Among them, fibroids, especially hard fibroids in the abdominal wall muscles, can become malignant and must be treated with great care.

1. It is a relatively common benign tumor of well-differentiated fibrous connective tissue. It is more common in young people, solitary, mostly millimeters to several centimeters, and painless. It is often found accidentally, hard, with clear boundaries, movable, and slow growth. It can occur in subcutaneous tissues of all parts of the body. For example, tumors that grow in the breasts of young women and are mainly glandular are called fibroadenomas, and tumors that grow in muscles with muscle tissue are called fibromyomas. When multiple tumors occur, they are called tumor-like lesions, which are called fibromatosis.

Second, such as congenital systemic fibromatosis, which is "benign" in appearance, new lesions appearing in important organs can also lead to death. If they grow in the compressed part of the sacrum, they will grow rapidly, erode, ulcerate, bleed and become malignant. Desmoid fibroma (ligament-like tumor) growing in the rectus abdominis of the abdominal wall, neck, trunk and limbs is more common in women. If it is not radically removed, it is very likely to recur, but it does not metastasize, so it is called a borderline tumor.

It is not enough to just know what fibroids are. We also need to take some preventive measures in our daily lives. Experts suggest that we go to the hospital for treatment as soon as we find symptoms. This is also the best way to stay healthy.
