How should young people care for tongue cancer

Tongue cancer is the most common oral cancer, more common in men than in women. Most tongue cancers are squamous cell carcinomas, especially in the front 2/3 of the tongue. Adenocarcinomas are less common and are mostly located at the root of the tongue. Lymphoepithelial carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinomas can sometimes occur at the root of the tongue. How to care for young people with tongue cancer is a concern for every tongue cancer patient.

1. Pay attention to adjusting your diet. Cancer patients should try to increase their appetite during the recovery period. The food should be clean, with a combination of meat and vegetables, coarse and fine foods, and a combination of coarse and fine foods. The food should not be monotonous or too greasy, but should be easy to digest and absorb. When eating, the environment should be relaxed, the mood should be happy, and you should not be partial to certain foods, not eat too much, and not overeat.

2. Live a regular life, do not stay in bed, do not overwork, and do not act according to your temper. A regular life can keep the body in a normal working state, so that the recurrence and metastasis of the tumor will have no chance to take advantage.

3. Be energetic, optimistic, and have a colorful life. This may help you win the battle against cancer. If you are mentally stressed, emotionally fragile, or easily emotionally volatile, you will have trouble sleeping and eating, and your body's ability to fight cancer will decrease, leading to worsening of the disease.

4. Do appropriate physical exercise. Improving physical fitness will naturally enhance the ability to fight cancer. Patients can choose activities such as walking, jogging, Tai Chi, swordplay, swimming, etc. according to their physical condition. The amount of exercise should be moderate without feeling tired.

5. Actively treat other complications. Since cancer patients generally have weak constitutions and are often accompanied by complications such as upper respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, enteritis, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, etc., active treatment is required during the recovery period.
