In our lives, perhaps we often hear some gynecological experts’ advice to do some gynecological examinations regularly and know more about our own bodies. In this way, we can understand whether our organs have some lesions through some early symptoms. Endometrial cancer is a type of cancer and a common disease among female friends. What are its early symptoms? Let us introduce them below. (1) Postmenopausal vaginal bleeding: Postmenopausal bleeding or irregular vaginal bleeding is a prominent and typical symptom of endometrial cancer patients, which can appear in the early stage. The initial bleeding is small and intermittent, with the amount of bleeding less than the previous menstrual volume, sometimes even so little that only a small amount of blood is left on the underwear. The intervals vary from a few days to a few weeks, and occasionally the intervals between bleeding episodes can be longer. In the late stage of the disease, the amount of bleeding can be large, exceeding the previous menstrual volume and is continuous, sometimes even causing anemia. Premenopausal women may experience intermenstrual bleeding, prolonged menstrual bleeding, increased menstrual volume, or completely irregular bleeding. (2) Increased vaginal discharge: Increased vaginal discharge is another symptom of endometrial cancer, and sometimes it is the first symptom. It starts out as watery, then becomes purulent or bloody. (3) Abdominal pain: In the early stage, patients generally do not have abdominal pain, but some patients may feel soreness and discomfort in the lower abdomen. In the late stage, the tumor invades the pelvic cavity and compresses the nerves, which can cause obvious abdominal pain. When there is secondary infection and pus accumulation in the uterine cavity, spasmodic abdominal pain may occur. Seven factors that cause endometrial cancer 1. Long-term use of estrogen: Long-term use of estrogen by women can lead to endometrial cancer. The degree of risk is related to the dose, duration and whether women stop taking estrogen. 2. Diabetes: People with diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance have a 2.8 times higher risk of developing endometrial cancer than normal people. 3. Hypertension: The survey found that about one-third of endometrial cancer patients suffer from hypertension. The risk of endometrial cancer in patients with hypertension is 1.5 times that of the normal population. 4. Irregular menstruation: Among patients with endometrial cancer, those with menstrual disorders are three times more likely to have normal menstruation. Irregular menstruation in women is mostly caused by ovarian dysfunction, often accompanied by abnormal female hormone levels. This may be the cause of endometrial cancer in women. 5. Early menarche and late menopause: Early menarche and delayed menopause extend the age at which women menstruate, which also increases their risk of endometrial cancer. 6. Not pregnant: The number of times a woman has been pregnant and given birth is also related to the risk of developing endometrial cancer. Normal pregnancy and childbirth can not only maintain a woman's mental health, but also her physical health. Studies have found that endometrial cancer often occurs in women who have not given birth or suffer from infertility. 7. Certain gynecological diseases: If women suffer from diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome and functional ovarian tumors, their female hormone levels will be abnormal, resulting in long-term stimulation of the endometrium by estrogen, thereby increasing their risk of endometrial cancer. Through the above introduction to the early symptoms of endometrial cancer, everyone should have some preliminary understanding of this knowledge. There are many causes of endometrial cancer. Long-term use of some female hormones, as well as diabetics, hypertensive patients, and irregular menstruation can all lead to the occurrence of endometrial cancer. Patients should focus on prevention in their lives, develop good living habits, and regularly check their bodies. |
