How to determine the diagnosis of endometrial cancer

How to diagnose endometrial cancer? When it comes to endometrial cancer, everyone may have heard of it, but how much do you know about this disease? Many female friends do not pay attention when they have symptoms of endometrial cancer, which causes the disease to worsen and cause great harm to the body. So, what are the diagnostic methods for endometrial cancer? Let's take a look.

Vaginal bleeding, especially in postmenopausal women, irregular vaginal bleeding. Increased leucorrhea, watery or bloody. Some patients may have lower abdominal pain. The early signs of endometrial cancer are obvious and not difficult to detect. As long as you are vigilant, it is easy to detect it early. If you have the above symptoms, you should go to a specialist hospital in time. The doctor will do a gynecological examination for you to make a clear diagnosis.

1. Gynecological triple examination is the most basic examination method. In the early stage of endometrial cancer, there is no special manifestation in the uterus, but in the later stage, the uterus becomes enlarged and soft.

2. Vaginal exfoliative cytology is non-invasive and can observe changes in the morphology of exfoliated endometrial cells;

3. Pelvic B-ultrasound is widely available and economical, and can be used to observe whether the endometrium is thickened. If it is greater than 8 cm, special vigilance should be exercised;

In recent years, B-mode ultrasound examination has developed rapidly, especially transvaginal B-mode ultrasound examination, which has been widely used in gynecological clinic (transvaginalultransoundexamination, TVB). It has made certain progress in assisting the diagnosis of endometrial lesions. Transvaginal B-mode ultrasound examination can understand the size of the uterus, the shape of the uterine cavity, the presence of vegetation in the uterine cavity, the thickness of the endometrium, the presence of infiltration and depth of the myometrium (Sahakian, 1991), and provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and pathological sampling (uterine cavity biopsy, or curettage). For postmenopausal women with uterine bleeding, further diagnosis methods can be selected based on the results of transvaginal B-mode ultrasound examination.

4. Hysteroscopic examination can directly observe the changes in the endometrium, accurately perform localized biopsy, and detect lesions early; How to diagnose endometrial cancer

At present, hysteroscopy has been widely used in the diagnosis of endometrial lesions. Fiber hysteroscopy is the most widely used in China. About 20% of patients with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding have endometrial cancer. The use of hysteroscopy can directly observe the cervical canal and uterine cavity, detect lesions and accurately take biopsies, which can improve the diagnosis rate of biopsy and avoid missed diagnoses by conventional curettage. It can also provide information such as the scope of the lesion and whether the cervical canal is involved, and assist in correct clinical staging before surgery. However, due to the injection of uterine distension fluid during hysteroscopy, it is possible that the fluid will flow into the pelvic cavity through the fallopian tubes, causing cancer cells to spread and affecting the prognosis. This should be noted.

5. Endocervical and endometrial biopsy (segmented endometrial biopsy) can confirm the diagnosis. However, care must be taken to scrape the uterine fundus and both sides of the uterine horns to avoid missed diagnosis or misdiagnosis.

The above are how endometrial cancer is currently diagnosed in medicine. After the disease is diagnosed, patients must adjust their mentality, pay attention to nutritional matching in daily diet, follow the doctor's advice, and actively cooperate with treatment. Only in this way can the disease be effectively controlled.
