Entering the 21st century, our eating habits and daily routines have changed, coupled with excessive work pressure, so it is normal for gastric cancer to occur in the stomach. If we are really unfortunate enough to have gastric cancer, we should also take a normal attitude to see which drugs can treat gastric cancer and use them under the doctor's advice. Different drugs are used for chemotherapy at different stages of gastric cancer. Adjuvant chemotherapy after radical surgery often uses S-1 and Xeloda combined with oxaliplatin (XELOX regimen). The former is the conclusion drawn from Japan's experimental treatment of stage II-III gastric cancer. Clinical research has shown that the disease-free survival of patients treated with S-1 was significantly improved by 12% within three years. The latter is mainly the conclusion drawn from a Korean clinical study, which mainly tested the above-mentioned patients in the same period and showed a significantly improved survival rate. Palliative chemotherapy drugs, at present, fluorouracil (5-FU) and platinum drugs are mostly used in China. In recent years, palliative chemotherapy for gastric cancer has also become an independent discipline being studied by people. Second-line chemotherapy has been recognized to have the advantage of survival benefit; the selection and application of first-line maintenance chemotherapy, two-drug and three-drug combination regimens, and targeted therapy are gradually moving towards palliative treatment of gastric cancer and bringing hope for prolonging patient survival. Palliative chemotherapy generally uses various combinations of 5-FU, platinum, anthracyclines and taxanes. Oral 5-FU, capecitabine or S-1 have become the basic drugs for the treatment of gastric cancer. Taxanes are mostly used in patients with gastric cancer, which has been proven by many years of clinical medical research. Docetaxel is a new cytotoxic drug approved by the US FDA for the treatment of advanced gastric cancer in the past 10 years. However, due to its high toxicity, it is restricted in clinical medicine. However, in recent years, according to the continuous deepening of medical research, controlled doses of docetaxel can reduce the toxicity of the drug and continuously reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. |
