What should you pay attention to when it comes to colon cancer activities

During treatment and rehabilitation, patients with colon cancer should pay attention to combining movement and stillness, and moderate work and rest. Movement should be varied, including physical exercise, qigong, tai chi, dance, etc. Stillness should be "adjusting the mind", and we should pay attention to the loss of qi due to overwork, and be wary of qi congestion due to over-rest. Second, we should pay attention to gradual progress and should not rush things. We should understand that haste makes waste. Third, we should pay attention to perseverance. It is particularly worth mentioning that when some discomfort occurs in the body or there are signs of recurrence of the disease, we should consult a doctor for diagnosis or examination in time, and we should not blindly believe in exercise. Fourth, we should pay attention to combining it with emotional adjustment, and organically combine "training the body" and "training the mind".

1. Understand your health status

When cancer patients are recovering, physical exercise must be carried out according to the characteristics and physical condition of each patient. The appropriate exercise method and the appropriate amount of exercise must be selected. Therefore, first of all, you must have a detailed understanding of your physical condition. This requires going to the hospital to see a doctor, telling your true feelings after treatment, and taking necessary examinations to let the doctor have a clear judgment of your condition and listen to the doctor's advice. Generally speaking, after exercise, vital signs are stable, the mood is happy, the diet and sleep are good, and the original symptoms are controlled, relieved, improved or cured, indicating that the physical condition is consistent with the amount of exercise. On the contrary, the amount of exercise should be reduced, or suspended and dealt with in time.

(ii) Choose the right sport

Exercise is an important part of cancer recovery. What kind of exercise can help cancer patients' health? Sports such as football and basketball are more intense, require a lot of exercise, and consume a lot of physical strength, which will temporarily weaken the physical fitness. They are not suitable for cancer patients. In addition, competitive sports have very high requirements for athletes' physical fitness and flexibility, which often exceed the physiological limits of cancer patients. Cancer patients should not participate. There are also some confrontational competitions, which are very interesting, but often make people impatient and cannot be the first choice for cancer patients to exercise. Cancer patients are suitable for some exercises with less exercise, controllable rhythm, more relaxing, and can be carried out step by step, such as walking, jogging, yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, etc. These exercises are good for limbs and internal organs, and are also very helpful for psychological relaxation and stretching. Regular practice can strengthen muscles and bones, relax muscles and activate blood circulation, please the body and mind, and harmonize qi and blood.

(III) Master the optimal amount of exercise

Generally speaking, whether a person's exercise volume is properly controlled should be based on whether the fatigue after exercise can be recovered quickly. Specifically, it means that after a night's rest after exercise, the next morning, you can still devote yourself to work and study with good physical strength and energy, and can easily participate in training or exercise again. In the long run, the fatigue caused by exercise this week will not be carried over to the next week. If the fatigue caused by exercise cannot be eliminated the next day or a few days later, you must make adjustments in time and reduce the amount of exercise. Too little exercise will not achieve the purpose of physical exercise, and too much exercise will damage your health.
