Shingles causes swollen lymph nodes

Shingles is also commonly known as chickenpox, but with the development of modern medical technology, certain results have been achieved in the prevention of chickenpox, which has led to fewer and fewer people getting chickenpox. However, when shingles appear in the human body, it must not be ignored, because at this time, shingles will only be life-threatening if it is treated in time. What if shingles causes swollen lymph nodes?

Herpes zoster is a physical disease that can seriously endanger the patient's health. Herpes zoster patients will experience lack of energy, and herpes zoster can also induce many complications when it occurs, such as swollen lymph nodes, which is one of the common symptoms. What is the cause of swollen lymph nodes caused by herpes zoster? What causes the disease? What treatment measures should be taken?

The symptoms of shingles are one of the most common diseases in summer. Before the onset of the disease, the patient has symptoms such as low fever, general fatigue, and pain and burning sensation in the area where the disease is about to occur. When herpes zoster first occurs, it appears as an irregular shaped erythema. After a few hours, blisters may develop on the basis of the erythema and gradually increase in number. When infection occurs, it may also appear as pustules. After a few days, the blister fluid is gradually absorbed, leaving a scab, which may fall off after about a week, leaving temporary pigmentation and generally no scars.

Experts say that patients with shingles will experience a variety of discomfort symptoms during the illness. If not treated in time, it will turn into postherpetic neuralgia, which will have a serious impact on the patient's physical and mental health. If shingles affects the eyes, it can also cause blindness; if the herpes virus invades the human brain and meninges, it can also cause viral encephalitis, meningitis and other diseases, manifested by symptoms such as headache, vomiting, limb convulsions, and even endanger the patient's life.

Experts suggest: Before the onset of herpes zoster, local pain, mild fever, fatigue, or no prodromal symptoms are often felt. Erythema first appears in the affected area, followed by clusters of papules, papulovesicles, and quickly into blisters. The blister walls are tense and the area around the blisters is red. After 7-8 days, the blisters dry up and form scabs. After healing, temporary pigmentation remains. The skin between the blisters is normal, and the nearby lymph nodes are swollen.
