What are the dangers of having liver cancer

Liver cancer is a common malignant tumor with serious harm. Facing the harm and treating it scientifically is the correct attitude towards the disease. Nowadays, medical technology is developing rapidly, and many diseases that were difficult to cure before can now be cured, so we must have confidence. Here we introduce to you the harms of liver cancer:

1. Decreased resistance: Liver cancer can cause a series of digestive system symptoms in patients. Patients will have serious problems such as anorexia, poor appetite, indigestion, weight loss, decreased physical fitness, decreased resistance and immunity, which can easily lead to various forms of infection in patients, making their treatment more troublesome.

2. Cause abdominal pain: Liver cancer can cause patients to experience abdominal pain of varying degrees. Liver cancer patients will experience persistent or intermittent pain in the liver area, which is generally characterized by dull pain and bloating. Once the cancerous nodule ruptures, it often causes acute abdominal pain and obvious peritoneal irritation symptoms, which can cause the patient's blood pressure to drop, or even cause shock, leading to death.

3. Lower limb edema: Liver cancer can cause patients to have severe ascites symptoms, and the ascites of the patient will compress the veins and lymph of the lower limbs, resulting in poor venous and lymphatic return in the lower limbs, thus causing lower limb edema. The milder cases generally manifest as ankle edema, while the more severe cases will spread to the entire lower limbs.

4. Bleeding tendency: Liver cancer can also cause patients to show a more obvious bleeding tendency. Patients will have problems such as bleeding gums and subcutaneous ecchymosis. In more serious cases, it can also lead to gastrointestinal bleeding. Gastrointestinal bleeding is a very important cause of death in liver cancer patients.

5. Bloody pleural effusion and ascites. Liver cancer on the diaphragmatic surface can directly infiltrate or metastasize through the bloodstream or lymph nodes to cause bloody pleural effusion, which is common on the right side.

6. Secondary infection: Due to the long-term consumption of cancer, the resistance is weakened, especially in those whose white blood cell count decreases after radiation and chemotherapy, they are prone to various infections, such as pneumonia, intestinal infection, fungal infection, etc.

7. Rupture and bleeding of liver cancer nodules Necrosis and liquefaction of liver cancer tissue can lead to spontaneous rupture or rupture due to external force. If it is confined to the subcapsular membrane, there may be sudden pain and rapid enlargement of the liver; if it ruptures into the abdominal cavity, it may cause acute abdominal pain and peritoneal irritation. In severe cases, it may cause hemorrhagic shock or death. In mild cases, bleeding stops after a few days and the pain gradually subsides.

8. Gastrointestinal bleeding combined with liver cirrhosis or portal vein or hepatic vein cancer thrombosis may cause esophageal or gastric fundus varicose vein rupture and bleeding due to portal hypertension. Bleeding may also be caused by gastrointestinal mucosal erosion, coagulation disorder, etc.

Entering the abdominal cavity will cause acute pain and peritoneal irritation signs. In severe cases, it may cause hemorrhagic shock and death. In mild cases, the bleeding will stop after a few days and bloody ascites will appear.

9. Secondary infection: The late complications of liver cancer are caused by long-term consumption, low resistance, and a decrease in white blood cells after radiotherapy or chemotherapy, which makes it easy to develop various infections, such as pneumonia, sepsis, intestinal infection, fungal infection, etc. 4. Hepatic encephalopathy: About 1/3 of patients die from it.

Disease is painful for people and a disaster for a family. Therefore, we must pay attention to our health in our daily lives, stay away from smoking and drinking, strengthen physical exercise, pay attention to diet structure, and arrange our lives scientifically and rationally, so that we can stay away from diseases and enjoy a better life.
