Endocrine adjuvant therapy drugs for breast cancer

Endocrine adjuvant therapy drugs for breast cancer

People live in this nature, and various health problems caused by various factors sometimes make people unable to bear it. What we are going to talk about today is breast cancer. Breast cancer patients develop at a relatively fast rate. It is important to choose the right treatment method. In addition to surgery, chemotherapy and other methods, endocrine therapy is also a commonly used method. So how many endocrine-assisted treatment drugs are there for breast cancer?

Endocrine therapy drugs for breast cancer include several anti-estrogen drugs, which are the most commonly used non-steroidal anti-estrogen drugs that can bind to estrogen receptors and block the effect of estrogen on the receptors. The most commonly used is tamoxifen (TAM), which can be used for rescue treatment of recurrent and metastatic breast cancer, postoperative adjuvant therapy, and prevention of breast cancer in high-risk healthy women.
The earliest aromatase inhibitor, aminoacetylcholine (AG), is a non-selective aromatase inhibitor with low specificity. The new generation of drugs has strong selectivity and fewer side effects. The main ones include formestane, fadrozole, anastrozole, vorozole, and letrozole, which are mainly used as second-line treatment for advanced postmenopausal breast cancer.
LHRH receptor antagonists are drugs with the same therapeutic effect as surgical castration, but they are reversible. They can be used to replace oophorectomy to treat premenopausal recurrent metastatic breast cancer. The main indication is premenopausal, ER-positive patients.
Progestins mainly include medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) and megestrol acetate (MA), which change the body's endocrine environment, inhibit the pituitary gland from producing LH and ACTH through negative feedback, or act on breast cancer cells through progesterone receptors.
There are several endocrine therapy drugs for breast cancer. In fact, no disease is scary as long as you face it positively. You should consult a doctor for specific medications and not take them at will. I also hope that people with breast cancer will not be afraid. As long as they actively cooperate with the treatment, I believe it can be cured.
