Psychological nursing goals for breast cancer

Breast cancer makes many women very painful. Nowadays, there are many treatments for this disease, but as family members of breast cancer patients, we should also pay attention to the care of patients. Although breast cancer is a common disease, many people still do not understand breast cancer.

1. Psychological care. Help breast cancer patients to correctly understand breast cancer. Patients are influenced by the social misconception that cancer equals death. Most breast cancer patients mistakenly believe that cancer is an incurable disease and that having cancer is equivalent to being sentenced to death or suspended death penalty. This fear of cancer mainly comes from the fear of death. Since chemotherapy may cause serious adverse reactions such as vomiting, hair loss, and local skin necrosis, most patients mistakenly believe that chemotherapy drugs are poison. This fear mainly comes from a lack of understanding of chemotherapy drugs, a lack of chemotherapy knowledge, and concerns about their self-image after chemotherapy.

Second, help breast cancer patients correctly understand the treatment of breast cancer and inform them that breast cancer is a comprehensive treatment. Patients are prone to anxiety, and anxiety mainly comes from lack of knowledge. Since most patients mistakenly believe that surgery is the only way to treat the disease, the sooner the better, and preoperative chemotherapy prolongs the waiting time for surgery, the patient's anxiety will increase accordingly.

Third, enlighten breast cancer patients and eliminate their depression. This emotion mainly comes from patients with difficult family conditions. Concerns about family finances and a strong sense of responsibility can cause breast cancer patients to feel anxious. Because preoperative chemotherapy prolongs the waiting time for surgery, hospitalization costs will increase, and patients' anxiety and worry will also increase accordingly, and negative emotions will have a negative impact on recovery.

Although there are many treatments for breast cancer, breast cancer is not a disease with a high cure rate at present, so we cannot ignore the prevention measures of the disease. In the process of treating breast cancer, patients should not blindly undergo treatment. Missing the best treatment time will affect the treatment effect.
