With the development of a large number of basic and clinical studies, a deeper understanding of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been enhanced. In 2004, WHO made a new classification of renal cell carcinoma histopathology based on the latest research progress in RCC tissue morphology, immunophenotype, genetic characteristics, and epidemiological characteristics, clinical and imaging conditions, somatic cell genetics, prognosis and other related information. So what are the diagnostic criteria for renal cancer? Papillary renal cell carcinoma is also known as chromophilic RCC. Its age of onset, male-female incidence ratio, symptoms and signs are similar to those of clear cell renal cell carcinoma. It is common in patients with long-term hemodialysis and acquired renal cystic disease. It is generally believed that papillary renal cell carcinoma has no special imaging features, but in our clinical work, we have found that it appears as an ischemic tumor on enhanced CT scans, and the tumor enhancement is not as obvious as that of typical clear cell carcinoma. |
