Does brain cancer often recur?

When a tumor in the brain turns cancerous, it is the onset of brain cancer. In fact, many people understand this, but most people don’t understand questions like “Will brain cancer recur frequently?” There is no doubt that brain cancer will have many possibilities of metastasis and recurrence in the late stage, but if patients can detect the symptoms of brain cancer recurrence in time, they can avoid further aggravation of the disease. The following editor will introduce it in detail.

Brain cancer will recur in the late stage, but as long as the patient pays attention to the symptoms of brain cancer recurrence, it is possible to prevent and treat it. The following are introduced one by one:
1. Signs of recurrence of brain cancer include mental symptoms: In mild cases, the main symptoms may only be memory loss and decreased concentration, and irritability. When the intracranial pressure increases slowly, it can lead to progressive dementia, and the patient has intellectual impairment, apathy, and incontinence. When the intracranial pressure increases acutely or subacutely, it often causes mental confusion, and when the pressure rises to a very high level, all the patient's mental activities almost stop and fall into a coma.
2. Epilepsy: Convulsions are generalized epilepsy-like. Convulsions may be related to increased intracranial pressure, but they may also be the effect of a local brain tumor.
3. Visual field impairment is a sign of brain cancer recurrence: increased intracranial pressure causes retinal venous blood flow obstruction, leading to papilledema. This manifests as visual field defects, enlarged blind spots, a sharp decrease in visual sensitivity, and in severe cases, blindness.
4. Vomiting. It is caused by increased intracranial pressure and often occurs when the headache worsens. It is like a jet. The headache symptoms are relieved after vomiting. This symptom is easily misdiagnosed as a gastrointestinal disease.
5. Headache. Mostly caused by increased intracranial pressure, it is paroxysmal headache in the early stage, which occurs in the morning. As the tumor develops, it becomes more severe and turns into a persistent headache. Symptoms of general headaches can be relieved after rest, but this is not the case with brain tumors. Severe headaches often occur in the early morning after waking up, and the headache symptoms gradually ease after getting up and moving around.
