Nursing recommendations for prostate cancer patients

Prostate cancer, like other cancers, is a relatively difficult disease to treat. For patients, they need to bear a lot of psychological pressure, so the family members of the patients should give them psychological comfort, but it should be noted that the excessive care and concern of the family members must be carried out in a way that the patient can accept, otherwise it will bring the opposite result and do more harm than good to the patient.

First, too frequent visits. Sometimes you can see that when a prostate cancer patient is hospitalized, family members, relatives, friends, colleagues, and old classmates come to visit him. This affects the patient's rest and also puts a lot of psychological pressure on the patient, making him think that he doesn't have much time left.
Second, when visiting patients, they show obvious pity and sympathy in front of them, and even shed tears with them. When talking to them, they are cautious, dare not look them in the eye, and talk about other things. These will make patients feel sad, lonely and depressed, thus generating pessimism and disappointment.
Third, cut off the patient's connection with society, such as restricting others' visits too strictly, restricting the patient from reading and studying, and even prohibiting the patient from reading newspapers and watching TV, reducing the scope of his activities, etc. The consequence of doing so is to make the patient feel more lonely, and even feel abandoned by society, which is not conducive to the patient's diversion of attention and relieving mental pressure.
