Precautions for nursing care of vomiting blood in late stage of liver cancer

Liver cancer is a common disease. In the early stage, we can still hope to recover through reasonable treatment. But how to care for patients with liver cancer who vomit blood? There are many symptoms of liver cancer, so there are many things to pay attention to and understand when caring for patients with this disease. The key point of care for patients with vomiting blood is to stop bleeding. Endoscopic hemostasis, drug hemostasis, and mechanical hemostasis are usually used clinically. Generally, these methods of hemostasis are used.

How to care for liver cancer patients vomiting blood:

1. Endoscopic hemostasis

In general, endoscopic sclerotherapy is used for patients who are ineffective with conservative medical treatment. The hemostasis rate for acute bleeding in patients can reach 95%. Embolization of the blood vessels at the bleeding site is used to achieve the purpose of hemostasis. If the bleeding site of the patient cannot be determined, thrombin can be sprayed under the endoscope to stop the bleeding.

2. Drug hemostasis

How to care for liver cancer patients who vomit blood? If the bleeding of gastric fundus vein and esophageal bleeding is caused by portal hypertension of liver cancer, we should find ways to reduce portal pressure and give the patient some hemostatic drugs to stop bleeding. At the same time, hemostatic agents can also be used to stop bleeding. Therefore, the care of patients with this disease is relatively strict, and the nursing staff should strictly follow the nursing instructions to care for the patients.

3. Mechanical hemostasis

Mechanical hemostasis mainly involves compression hemostasis with a three-chamber two-balloon tube. If the drug still fails to stop the bleeding, the balloon can be placed in the appropriate position to achieve the hemostatic effect. At the beginning of use, the gastric balloon should be inflated with enough air. The esophageal balloon should be inflated less than the gastric balloon because esophageal varices are mostly caused by the gastric fundus veins. Once the gastric fundus veins are compressed, hemostasis can be achieved.

When liver cancer occurs, the patient will be instantly plagued by the disease and will be physically weak. If vomiting blood occurs, we must take more careful care of the liver cancer patient. At the same time, we can also learn more about the common sense related to liver cancer in daily life to minimize the occurrence of the disease, especially the care and precautions, which must be mastered well.
