2. Ib: The sum of the maximum diameters of a single or two tumors is ≤5 cm, located in half the liver, with no tumor thrombus, abdominal lymph nodes, or distant metastasis, and liver function grade is Child A.

3. Ⅱa: The sum of the maximum diameters of a single or two tumors is ≤10 cm in half the liver, or the sum of the maximum diameters of two tumors is ≤5 cm in the left and right hemiliver, with no cancer thrombus, abdominal lymph nodes, or distant metastasis; liver function grade is Child A.

4. Ⅱb: The sum of the largest diameters of a single or two tumors is >10 cm in half the liver, or the sum of the largest diameters of two tumors is >5 cm in the left and right hemiliver, or multiple tumors, without tumor thrombus, abdominal lymph nodes, or distant metastasis; liver function grade Child A. Regardless of the tumor condition, there are tumor thrombi in portal vein branches, hepatic veins, or bile ducts and/or liver function grade Child B.

5. IIIa: Regardless of the tumor condition, there is a tumor thrombus in the portal vein or inferior vena cava, abdominal lymph node or distant metastasis; liver function grade is Child A or B.

6. IIIb: Regardless of tumor condition, tumor thrombus, or metastasis; liver function grade is Child C.
