Colorectal cancer refers to malignant lesions of the colorectal mucosal epithelium caused by a variety of carcinogenic factors such as the environment or genetics. It has a poor prognosis and a high mortality rate. It is one of the common malignant tumors in my country. Colorectal malignant tumors originate from the mucosal epithelium or submucosal mesenchymal tissue. The following introduces the early symptoms of colorectal cancer and how to prevent it. Early symptoms of colorectal cancer: First: Abdominal pain and bloating Colorectal cancer causes intestinal obstruction, causing varying degrees of abdominal pain and bloating. Abdominal pain often occurs. Patients often experience pain in the middle and lower abdomen, but the severity varies, ranging from dull pain to severe pain. Second: Anemia and weight loss As the disease progresses, the patient's body also begins to change. Anemia and weight loss are also common early symptoms of colorectal cancer. Blood in the stool and loss of appetite will aggravate the symptoms of weight loss and anemia. In more serious cases, cachexia may also occur. Third: bloody stool When the colorectal cancer tumor ruptures, the patient's stool may contain blood, dark red or bright red blood, mixed with blood and stool. In some cases, mucus stool may be excreted, indicating that the patient's condition is more serious. Although blood in the stool is an early symptom of colorectal cancer, it is not obvious enough and is easily ignored or misdiagnosed. Fourth: Changes in bowel habits The number of bowel movements increases to two or three times a day, and there is still a feeling of incomplete bowel movements after defecation. When the tumor is large and affects intestinal function, constipation and diarrhea may occur alternately, which may indicate the possibility of cancer. How to prevent colorectal cancer: 1. Develop good eating habits in daily life The occurrence of colorectal cancer is closely related to diet. Therefore, people can prevent colorectal cancer by making reasonable arrangements for their diet, such as eating more fresh fruits, vegetables and other foods rich in carbohydrates and crude fiber, and appropriately increasing the proportion of coarse grains and whole grains in the staple food. 2. Actively prevent and treat intestinal diseases This is also a common preventive measure for colorectal cancer. Through long-term clinical observation, it is found that intestinal diseases such as chronic enteritis and chronic dysentery can also easily induce colorectal cancer. Therefore, these intestinal diseases should be treated as early as possible. 3. Treat adenoma promptly When an adenoma is found in the large intestine, it should be treated, removed and pathologically examined to prevent the occurrence of the disease; 4. Regular inspection In real life, if you belong to the high-risk group for the disease, such as men over 40 years old, patients with familial multiple intestinal polyps, patients with ulcerative colitis, patients with chronic schistosomiasis, and people with a family history of colorectal cancer, you should have regular check-ups. |
