Is rectal cancer highly hereditary?

To treat rectal cancer, you still have to spend the money you should spend. If rectal cancer patients are always reluctant to spend money, then the condition of rectal cancer will easily worsen, and the cost of treatment will be even higher. If rectal cancer patients want to spend less money, they should start with the cause of the disease for treatment. So, is the inheritance rate of rectal cancer high? Let's learn about this issue together.

(1) Genetic factors: About 1/4 of the families of patients with colorectal cancer have a family history of cancer, half of which are also digestive tract tumors. Due to the change of genes in normal cells, cancer patients inherit a susceptibility through inheritance. Coupled with certain stimulating factors, tissue cells grow rapidly and develop into cancer. Cell genetic genes mutate and become malignant cells with tumor genetic characteristics, which manifests as familial cancer.

(2) Dietary factors: A high-fat, high-meat, low-fiber diet is closely related to the occurrence of rectal cancer. A high-fat diet not only stimulates the increase in bile secretion, but also promotes the growth of certain anaerobic bacteria in the intestine. Once bile and bile salts are decomposed by anaerobic bacteria, unsaturated cholesterol such as deoxycholic acid and lithocholic acid will increase in the intestine. The latter two are carcinogens or co-carcinogens, and therefore can lead to the occurrence of rectal cancer.

(3) Chronic inflammatory stimulation: Chronic inflammatory stimulation can lead to the occurrence of rectal cancer. For example, schistosomiasis, amoebic dysentery, chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis, chronic bacillary dysentery, etc. can cause cancer through granuloma, inflammation and pseudopolyp stages. Patients with ulcerative colitis for more than 10 years are prone to evolution, and the degree of cancer is high, easy to metastasize, and the prognosis is poor; according to relevant data statistics, the incidence of intestinal cancer patients with colitis is 8 to 10 times higher than that without colitis.

(4) Polyps: The incidence of rectal cancer is closely related to polyps. Some people believe that rectal polyps are the precursors of cancer, especially familial multiple adenomatous polyposis, which is very likely to become cancerous; papillary adenomatous polyps also have a higher chance of becoming cancerous.

Patients with rectal cancer should note that in the summer, being able to eat cool fruits is a great enjoyment, but for patients with rectal cancer, it is best not to eat these raw and cold foods, otherwise it will cause greater irritation to our stomachs and intestines, making the condition of rectal cancer more serious, which is not conducive to the treatment of rectal cancer.
