Myometrium is a parasitic disease that often occurs in fish and is quite harmful to fish. The uterine nematode can cause the muscles of fish to rot, leading to the death of the fish. Since the uterine nematode can live in the body of fish, and people usually use fish as food, many people are worried that it will cause harm to the human body. So, is Mycoplasma uteri harmful to humans? Parasitic diseases in fish usually cannot reproduce and survive in the human body. The treatment for uterine nematode disease, also known as red nematode, mainly involves clearing the pond with quicklime and water, and applying potassium permanganate or iodine to the affected area. Care should be taken to prevent the drug solution from flowing into the fish gills. The following mainly introduces the characteristics of carp red nematode disease Carp red nematodes mainly harm carp. Female nematodes usually coil up and parasitize under the scales of carp, causing the scales to bulge. This worm often crawls under the fish's scales, destroying the fish's skin, sucking the fish's nutrients, and causing skin inflammation and congestion and bleeding. Saprolegniasis often parasitizes in inflamed areas of the skin, causing secondary infection. In severe cases, the koi's muscles may rot, leading to the death of the diseased fish. This disease mainly harms carp over 2 years old and spawning broodstock, and the epidemic season is generally spring. The infection of red nematode disease is caused by koi being infected after swallowing water fleas carrying larvae. After a period of development in the body cavity and mating between the male and female worms, the female worms migrate to the parasitic site and mature. Red nematode disease usually occurs in May and June. It generally does not cause the death of sick fish, but it can cause bacterial and fungal infections. In severe cases, it can also cause death. Where the worms parasitize, the tissues become congested, inflamed, ulcerated, and even necrotic. Red worm bodies can be seen coiled in the lesions. There are large worms in the eye sockets of the sick fish, which are clearly visible. Treatment (1) Use quicklime and water to clean the pond to kill the larvae. Avoid using tea cakes, as they not only fail to kill the larvae, but can also prolong their lifespan. (2) Soak the fish in 2%-2.5% salt water for 15-20 minutes. This is the simplest and most effective method. (3) Apply 1% potassium permanganate or iodine to the affected area, but be careful to prevent the liquid from flowing into the fish gills. (4) Spray 0.2-0.5 g of crystal dichlorvos (90%) per cubic meter of water throughout the pond to kill the intermediate host. |
