Be aware of preventing colon cancer in daily life

1. Reasonable diet structure: ① Reduce the intake of meat and fat, and limit the intake of saturated fatty acids. ② Eat more foods rich in fiber, fresh vegetables and fruits, especially yellow-green vegetables containing a lot of vitamin A and vitamin C. ③ The diet should not be too refined, and eat some coarse grains appropriately.

2. Do not smoke and drink less: Tobacco contains dimethyl sulfoxide, which can induce colon cancer in people who smoke for a long time. Alcohol increases the risk of cancer by changing people's eating habits, such as low vitamin and low folic acid diet.

3. Good bowel habits: Be careful of constipation, because feces stay in the intestines for too long, and the toxins in the feces are in contact with the intestinal mucosa for a long time. Under the stimulation of toxins over time, the intestinal wall will become cancerous. If there are changes in bowel habits, such as increased bowel movements, blood in the stool, thinner or sheep-dung-like stools, and a feeling of incomplete defecation, etc., when there are no major changes in diet and lifestyle, you should seek medical attention in time.

4. If you find colon adenoma, remove it immediately: Colon adenoma is a precancerous lesion. Many patients with colorectal cancer develop from colon adenoma, so once it is discovered, go to the hospital immediately to remove it.
