Two folk remedies for blood supplementation after radiotherapy for cervical cancer

After radiotherapy, patients with cervical cancer often experience qi and blood deficiency, shortness of breath and fatigue. At this time, they can take certain Chinese medicine prescriptions to relieve the symptoms. The available prescriptions are as follows:

1. Quail and Astragalus Soup

Usage: Kill the quail first, remove the hair and internal organs, blanch it in boiling water, remove it, cool it in clean water, wash it, cut it into pieces, and set aside. Pick out the angelica, astragalus, and codonopsis, wash them, dry them in the air or in the sun, cut them into pieces, put them into a casserole with the quail meat, add appropriate amount of water, boil it over high heat, add cooking wine, and simmer it over low heat until the quail meat is cooked, add chopped green onion, minced ginger, refined salt, monosodium glutamate, and five-spice powder, continue to simmer until the flavor is absorbed, and drizzle with sesame oil. Eat the meat and drink the soup on the same day.

Efficacy: Nourishes qi and blood, strengthens the spleen and nourishes the stomach.
