Pathological factors of gastric precancerous lesions

Pathological factors of gastric precancerous lesions

Precancerous lesions refer to benign diseases that have a tendency to turn into cancer. For any type of cancer, there is a period of precancerous lesions before the onset of the disease. If it is taken seriously, effective treatment measures can be taken before it turns into cancer to avoid the occurrence of cancer.

People with stomach diseases have a higher rate of cancer than healthy people. If you belong to the following groups, you should have regular checkups and receive prompt treatment if you find any abnormalities:

(1) The cancer rate of people with chronic atrophic gastritis can reach 10%;

(2) For people with chronic gastric ulcers, the cancer rate is less than 3%;

(3) For people with gastric polyps, if the diameter is >2 cm, they are multiple and have a wide base, the risk of canceration is high;

(4) For patients who have undergone partial gastrectomy, the rate of gastric remnant cancer can reach 0.3%-10%;

(5) Patients with giant gastric mucosal hypertrophy and verrucous gastritis have a higher cancer rate than the general population;

(6) Patients with atypical hyperplasia detected during endoscopic biopsy are prone to precancerous lesions. Atypical hyperplasia is usually caused by chronic inflammation. If it develops into severe atypical hyperplasia, it can be considered a precancerous lesion or even an early cancer.

(7) Others: Endoscopic biopsy findings of gastric anaplasia and colon-type intestinal metaplasia are closely related to the occurrence of gastric cancer.

It can be seen that the cancer rate among people with stomach problems is very high, and sufficient attention should be paid to it, and scientific and effective treatment should be taken in time to prevent cancer.
