Maintain a positive attitude and coexist with breast cancer

The word cancer seems to have always been associated with "incurable disease", as if having cancer is equivalent to stepping into a coffin, so patients begin to face life negatively. You know, after getting cancer, it will not go away by itself, but patients can still have a long and fruitful life with it.

In recent years, doctors have shifted their approach to cancer, once considered a terminal illness, from a win-or-lose approach to an acute illness to a chronic one that, in many cases, gives patients more time to feel better.

For example, Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of Democratic candidate Edwards in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, is a breast cancer patient. She is not only fighting the recurrence of cancer, but also facing the dangerous situation that the tumor has spread and can no longer be cured. She is still living tenaciously while enduring the pain of cancer.

Cancer patients generally go through three psychological stages: (1) When they first discover they have cancer, they are in the "despair" stage. (2) During treatment, they are in the "muddling through" stage. (3) After treatment, they are in the "death" stage.

Therefore, it can be seen that a good attitude is the most important factor for both cancer patients and healthy people. If you maintain a good attitude, you can live happily even if you have to fight cancer cells for a long time.
