Rheumatism is a health problem that troubles many people. When it occurs, it will cause patients to suffer from more serious problems such as joint pain. There are many ways to treat rheumatism. In addition to traditional drug treatment, Chinese medicine therapies such as cupping can also be used. It can be said that cupping is very effective in treating rheumatism. Below, I will introduce to you several cupping methods that are effective for rheumatism!

1. Medicine jar method

Select the meridian acupoints and Ashi points where the pain is located. Use a bamboo tube with a diameter of 4-10 cm, boil the juice (100 grams each of Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, Saposhnikovia divaricata, Chuanwu, Caowu, Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Duhuo, Qianghuo, Jisheng, Artemisia annua, Safflower, Achyranthes bidentata, Cassia twig, and Sichuan pepper for 10-15 minutes and take the juice), and then apply cupping on the selected treatment area after boiling for 3 minutes. For patients with more serious conditions, the close-packed method can be used. Leave the cup on for 15-20 minutes, once a day or every other day.

2. Needle Cupping

The main acupoint is Dazhui. If the pain is migratory in the upper limbs, use Jianzhen, Jianliao and Jianyu; if the pain is in the trunk, use Mingmen and Shenshu (both); if the pain is in the lower limbs, use Weizhong and Chengshan. Only cupping is used on the Dazhui point, no acupuncture is performed. After acupuncture has been performed on the acupoints and qi has been generated, use the flash fire method and leave the needle buckle in the cupping jar for 15-20 minutes. 3 times a week, 10 times as a course of treatment.

3. Cupping

For arthritis in the lower back and upper limbs, use Dazhui, Shenzhu, Fengmen, Xinshu, and Diaphragmshu. For arthritis in the lower back and lower limbs, use Pishu, Sanjiaoshu, and Dachangshu. First, use cupping jars of appropriate size to apply 4-6 cups to the main acupoints. Then select acupoints according to the different parts of the diseased area, and apply 4-8 cups to each part. The retention time in the tank is 15-20 minutes. Take once a day or every other day, one course of treatment is two weeks, and rest for 5-6 days between courses.

4. Blood-pricking and cupping

Select the acupuncture points near the affected joints, disinfect them routinely, prick them with a skin needle, and then perform cupping to make the skin turn red or bleed a small amount. Leave the pot on for 10-15 minutes. The treatment is performed once every 2-4 days, and 5 times constitute a course of treatment. Suitable for acute rheumatoid arthritis.
