With the high incidence of melanoma, people are paying more and more attention to melanoma, and the cause of melanoma has gradually become the focus of discussion. Many people believe that this is closely related to the malignant transformation of nevus cells. In the past, it was generally believed that the cause of skin melanoma originated from nevus cells, especially the malignant transformation of junctional nevus. In recent years, it is believed that although skin melanoma is related to nevus cell nevus, it is not entirely true. Melanoma cells originate from intradermal dermal nevus cells rather than so-called junctional nevus cells. According to statistics, 35% to 50% of melanomas occur on the trunk or limbs (except palms and soles), which are related to the original intradermal dermal nevus cells. Undoubtedly, primary skin melanoma can originate from the original melanocytes in the epidermis and some existing congenital (usually large, such as congenital giant nevus) and acquired intradermal nevus cell nevus, but about 1/3 of melanoma patients have no history of nevus cell nevus. Clark observed two groups of cases (209 and 60 cases respectively) histologically, and only 20 cases (9.6%) and 5 cases (8.3%) were related to nevus cell nevus. Moreover, melanoma is prone to occur in exposed areas such as the face and scalp. These are not the common sites for nevus cell nevus. Most palm and plantar melanomas are not related to nevus cell nevus. Therefore, some people believe that the cause of melanoma is not entirely related to nevus cell nevus. However, any nevus, including pigmented skin lesions, should be considered as an indication of the beginning of malignant transformation when it suddenly grows faster, the pigment becomes darker or lighter, irregular pigment halos appear around it, or there is a halo of pigment loss, itching, stinging, scaling, secretion, scabs, ulceration, bleeding, hair loss on the surface, satellite nodules appear nearby, or regional lymph nodes enlarge for unknown reasons, and should be paid close attention to. Through the above description, everyone should have a concrete understanding of the statement that the malignant transformation of nevus cells is the cause of melanoma.
