My hands and feet get cold when I get nervous

Feeling cold hands and feet in winter seems to be a simple thing, but in fact, if it happens too frequently, it may be due to problems in some part of the body. For example, poor blood circulation or insufficient kidney function can also lead to cold hands and feet. Everyone needs to find out the root cause of their symptoms so that they can solve the problem more specifically and restore their health.

Cold hands and feet and sweating are mostly caused by weak spleen and stomach, yin deficiency and blood heat. If you eat too much fatty and sweet food and have an irregular diet, it may lead to weak spleen and stomach. When the spleen and stomach functions weaken, dampness and heat will accumulate in the body. Dampness and heat tend to move downward, causing sweating in the hands and feet. The main reason for cold hands and feet is that in winter, the human heart is weak and cannot supply blood to the extremities of the body. When there is not enough blood in the body, the hemoglobin and red blood cells are low, there is blockage in the blood vessels, or there is a fever or cold, etc., it will affect the central nervous system of the brain and cause cold hands and feet. In addition, if there is a problem with the sympathetic nervous system function, the muscles cannot contract when exposed to cold, and heat energy will be generated to resist the cold.

Hand and foot hyperhidrosis is mainly a disease of excessive sweating in the hands and feet. It is more common during adolescence. As the age increases, the disease will be alleviated or heal itself. If the condition becomes serious, active treatment is needed.

Why do sweaty and cold hands and feet occur? Mental factors (such as tension, fear, etc.) and endocrine disorders can also cause excessive sweating of hands and feet. People with hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet often also have cold hands and feet. Especially in winter, when the outside temperature is much lower than body temperature (36℃~37℃), the body's temperature regulation function will be significantly reduced. In addition, the evaporation of sweat itself will also take away some heat. Therefore, people with hyperhidrosis will have noticeably colder hands and feet than normal people. In addition, cold hands and feet without other diseases are often related to acidic blood. This is because the blood is acidic, has high viscosity, and has poor blood circulation, which causes ischemia in the limb extremities and leads to cold hands and feet.

The first method of treating cold and sweaty hands and feet is to adjust your mindset and avoid mental stress or emotional excitement, which can help prevent cold hands and feet. Studies have confirmed that when people are emotionally excited, the temperature of their hands will quickly drop by 3 to 6 degrees Celsius, and will recover after they calm down.

The second method of treating cold and sweaty hands and feet: pay attention to keeping warm and avoiding cold, and reduce direct stimulation of cold: as the temperature drops, you should add clothes and shoes and socks in time; you can also rub some oil on the skin of your hands and feet frequently. If necessary, you should wear gloves and thicker cotton shoes when going out. As the saying goes, "the cold starts from the feet." If the lower limbs are kept warm well, the whole body will feel warm.
