Correct posture for brushing teeth

Brushing teeth is something people must do in daily life, and it is also a behavior that is of great significance to people's oral health and dental health. Of course, many people think that brushing your teeth with just a toothbrush is enough. In fact, this is a very dangerous idea. When brushing your teeth, you should also pay attention to the method and posture. If the method is wrong, no matter how much you brush your teeth, it will be in vain.

1. Scientific method of brushing teeth

Food debris is mainly deposited in the gaps between teeth. If you brush your teeth horizontally, the bristles cannot reach into the gaps between teeth. How can you remove the food debris in the gaps between teeth? The correct way to brush your teeth is to brush vertically along the gaps between teeth. This brushing method can extend the bristles into the gaps between teeth, so it is more effective in cleaning teeth. The specific brushing method is roughly: place the toothbrush at the junction of the teeth and gums, so that the bristles are at a 45-degree angle to the teeth, then rotate the brush head and brush along the gaps between the teeth. When brushing the upper teeth, brush from top to bottom, and when brushing the lower teeth, brush from bottom to top.

2. Physiological brushing method

Place the toothbrush bristles in contact with the tooth surface, with the tip of the bristles pointing toward the crown, and then gently brush along the tooth surface toward the gums, similar to the friction of chewing fibrous food on the tooth surface. This method can clean the tooth surface and stimulate blood circulation in the gum tissue, thereby improving the health of periodontal tissue.

Biss brushing method: When brushing the lips and tongue, the bristles should be at a 45-degree angle to the tooth surface, with the brush head pointing toward the gums, so that the bristles enter the gingival sulcus and interproximal area, and some of the bristles should be pressed on the gingival margin and vibrated back and forth in a short distance. The bristles are pressed tightly against the tooth surface, so that the bristle tips penetrate deep into the fissure area and vibrate back and forth for a short distance. This method has a stronger cleaning ability and overcomes the shortcomings of the sawing horizontal brushing method. It becomes a short horizontal brush, which can effectively remove plaque in the tooth neck and gingival sulcus, massage the gums, and avoid wedge-shaped defects in the tooth neck and gingival atrophy.

3. Rotary brushing method

Rotate the brush from the gums toward the crowns. When brushing the labial surface of the front teeth, the buccal surface of the back teeth, and the lingual and palatal surface of the back teeth, the tip of the toothbrush bristles should face the gums, that is, the upper teeth should face up and the lower teeth should face down. The toothbrush bristles should be at a 45-degree angle to the tooth surface. In the second step, move the toothbrush in small circular motions toward the crown. The third step is to brush along the gaps between teeth to clean each tooth surface. When brushing the lingual and palatal surfaces of the front teeth, place the tip of the toothbrush bristles directly on the lingual and palatal surfaces of the teeth, pull the upper teeth downward, and lift the lower teeth upward. When brushing the occlusal surface of the back teeth, place the bristles on the biting surface and brush back and forth.
