How long does it take for a person to be in a coma due to hepatic encephalopathy to die

Cerebrovascular diseases caused by the liver are relatively serious and are particularly likely to cause coma. If a person is in a coma for a long time, it is likely to cause brain death. Because in our country, human death is divided into two types: brain death and cardiac death. So if the coma is frequent, it is likely to cause shock. So how long will it take for hepatic encephalopathy coma to cause death?

Hepatic encephalopathy is a disease secondary to primary liver disease. It often occurs after patients have suffered from hepatitis A, hepatitis B, cirrhosis and other diseases. This disease is a very serious complication and often occurs after the patient's immunity is reduced or the condition worsens. This disease is mainly caused by viruses and bacteria living in the liver flowing into the brain tissue through the blood, causing brain diseases. This disease is a very serious disease because it is related to the brain. The brain is the human nerve center. Once the brain is diseased, the patient will have neurological symptoms such as dizziness, headache, confusion, drowsiness, and coma. The danger of hepatic encephalopathy lies in coma.

Steps/Methods:

1. If the patient falls into a coma and we are unable to wake him up, we will not be able to obtain the patient's chief complaint, that is, the patient himself says how uncomfortable he is, which may cause the patient's death, so it is best for us to detect and treat early, so that we can better treat hepatic encephalopathy.

2 The examination methods for hepatic encephalopathy include routine blood test, X-ray examination, B-ultrasound examination, palpation and other methods. Routine blood test can show that the patient's creatinine, bilirubin, fat, protein, and blood ammonia are increased. B-ultrasound can show that the liver is enlarged, which can also be felt by palpation. Edema of the liver can be felt under the ribs.

3 Treatment can be done with medication, or the ascites can be concentrated and reused. This not only saves money but is also beneficial to the patient. Once a patient with hepatic encephalopathy falls into a coma, the condition becomes critical, so the patient's mental state must be rested and try to avoid coma.

Precautions

Eat more fruits and vegetables, avoid eating foods rich in trace elements such as fat and protein that are digested by the liver, do more physical exercise, and let the patient drink more water, which can enhance the body's immunity. Pay attention to keeping warm and not catching cold.
