How to relieve sinusitis attacks

Many patients will feel unbearable nasal congestion and feel particularly uncomfortable when sinusitis attacks. So at this time, the editor will teach you a few tricks to relieve nasal congestion. We can press both sides of our nose and rub clockwise for five minutes. If we persist, we will feel a little ventilation in the nasal cavity. We can also use garlic juice and salt water with a cotton swab and put it into the nasal cavity. So how to relieve sinusitis attacks?

Treatment of sinusitis:

1. Drug treatment: vasoconstrictors can shrink the swollen nasal mucosa to facilitate drainage. Traditional Chinese medicine uses aromatics to open the orifices, clear away heat and detoxify, and remove dampness and pus as treatment principles. Xanthium sibiricum powder is often used with added flavor. However, it can easily cause disorders in the patient's metabolism, reduce the body's immunity, and easily cause other complications - physical therapy can only relieve symptoms but cannot fundamentally solve the problem.

2. Maxillary sinus puncture. Maxillary sinus puncture is not suitable for children because their maxillary sinus is too small and danger may occur during puncture. It is not advisable to perform puncture. Upper puncture is not suitable for acute sinusitis. There is a possibility of spreading infection. It is also best not to use during women's menstrual period or those with bleeding tendency. Maxillary sinus puncture is performed 1 to 2 times a week to treat chronic maxillary sinusitis. If repeated punctures and flushing are ineffective, or if foul-smelling, large amounts of water-soluble pus are flushed out, surgical treatment may be considered. It may have a certain positive psychological effect. What patients need to do is to follow the doctor's advice, and then combine it with their own subjective will to choose the most beneficial treatment method. Sinus replacement is mainly suitable for chronic ethmoid sinusitis, frontal sinusitis, sphenoid sinusitis, pansinusitis and children. Recently, some experts said that sinus replacement is not suitable for children.

Failure to comply with doctor's orders. During the clinical diagnosis process, we find that some patients do not comply with doctor's orders during treatment, which can easily lead to recurrence of sinusitis. Sinusitis is related to many factors such as climate, environment, and lifestyle habits. Self-treatment: Sometimes when you find yourself having a runny nose, you may mistakenly think you have a cold and just take some cold medicine to deal with it. This can easily lead to a decrease in the body's immune function. Such patients have already made huge mistakes in the treatment of their own diseases, and poor treatment and recurrent attacks are inevitable results.

Causes of sinusitis:

1. Local causes include hypertrophic rhinitis, hypertrophy of the middle turbinate, deviated nasal septum, rectangular processes of the nasal septum, etc., which can all block the middle nasal passages and affect ventilation and drainage; nasal foreign bodies, nasal stones, nasal polyps, benign and malignant tumors of the nasal cavity, and epistaxis packed with gauze for too long, which can also block the sinus openings and affect the smooth drainage. Local lesions, such as chronic tonsillitis, adenoids and odontogenic infections.

2. Infection, anatomical abnormalities and immune abnormalities. Common infections include acute rhinitis, also known as colds and flu, which is a common disease and is very likely to be complicated by sinusitis. Acute infectious diseases are often accompanied by acute upper respiratory tract infections in their early stages. Because the body's resistance is reduced, viruses and bacteria both inside and outside the upper respiratory tract take the opportunity to invade the sinus cavity, causing acute sinusitis.

3. Systemic causes include systemic chronic diseases, malnutrition, vitamin deficiency, endocrine disorders, excessive smoking and drinking, or fatigue, cold, choking on water and other factors that weaken the body's resistance and can induce sinusitis. Some nasal diseases, such as deviated nasal septum, hypertrophy of the middle turbinate, nasal polyps, allergic rhinitis, nasal foreign bodies or nasal tumors, can also cause sinusitis.
