Can the dermis repair itself?

Can the dermis repair itself?

The dermis is one of the three layers of tissue that make up the skin. It is about 0.2 cm thick and is located between the epidermis and subcutaneous tissue. It is a layer of skin structure that can protect the internal tissues of the human body. The epidermis has the ability to heal itself. If the epidermis is accidentally scratched, after a period of time, the wound will heal itself and become smooth again. So, can the dermis also repair itself?

The human body has complete repair functions. If only the dermis is damaged and the wound is minor, the skin can rely on self-repair. However, if a large part of the dermis is damaged, it needs to be repaired, but skin repair must have a perfect design and combination. Now most regular institutions will use collagen to repair the skin. Collagen repair can make the skin look very plump. Because the human dermis contains collagen and elastic fibers.

How to repair dermis injury

1. External friction, cuts, burns, etc. that injure the dermis will cause bleeding

Stop bleeding in time and take different methods to stop the damage in time according to different injuries, such as external application of hemostatic drugs, Band-Aids or cloth tape, etc. Disinfection and antibacterial treatment are also required before this. Afterwards, attention should be paid to the breathability and dryness of the wound and do not get it wet.

2. Acne damages the dermis and leaves scars and acne pits
