Can you drink the Chinese medicine dandelion soaked in water?

Dandelion is a common wild flower on hillsides in southern regions. Generally, dandelions will grow wherever they fly, so dandelions have a strong ability to adapt to the environment. However, dandelion is also a traditional Chinese medicine, and many Chinese medicine practitioners will dry dandelions and use them as medicine. Many pharmacies also sell dandelions as a Chinese medicinal herb, but do most people buy dandelions and soak them in water to drink?

1. People with Yin-Cold syndrome should not drink

The cold nature of dandelion is very effective in treating some infections caused by heat syndromes. If the infection is caused by some Yin-Cold syndrome, there is no sign of fever, the course of the disease is long, and the patient is weak, such people should not take dandelion, otherwise it will aggravate the condition and produce adverse reactions, and they may experience a loss of appetite, physical deterioration, and fatigue.

2. People with allergies should not drink

For people with some allergic constitutions, it is recommended that they treat the disease appropriately based on their individual constitution. For example, if you develop small bumps or itching on your body after taking dandelion water or dandelion wine, or if you have an allergic reaction, you should not drink it again.

3. People with chronic enteritis should not drink

Because dandelion itself is a cold medicine, people with chronic enteritis are not suitable for taking dandelion, as it will aggravate diarrhea. You should not drink too much dandelion water at ordinary times to avoid diarrhea!

In addition to the above three groups of people who should not drink dandelion tea, normal people also have some things to pay attention to when drinking it.

1. It is not suitable to drink it every day

Dandelion has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying, so dandelion is relatively cold. Taking it for a long time may damage the body, such as damaging the spleen and stomach, and causing diarrhea symptoms. So most people only need to drink it 3-4 times a week.

2. Dosage

Fresh dandelions: Generally, 50-60 grams can be added at a time and brewed with 500 ml of water.

Dried dandelions: 9-15 grams at a time, also brewed with 500 ml of water.

Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, drinking dandelion tea and knowing how to “match” it together will benefit your body even more!

Combination ① Dandelion + Magnolia root: better liver protection effect.

"Take dandelion root and magnolia root in a 1:1 ratio and mix them into dandelion magnolia root tea. Take 2-5g a day and brew it with hot water."

Dandelion root has a stronger liver-protecting effect than dandelion leaves. Because dandelion root contains polysaccharides and other active ingredients, it is good at protecting the liver.

Magnolia root belongs to the liver meridian and has the effect of clearing the liver and promoting bile secretion. Studies have found that its liver-protecting effect is due to the presence of choline in its extract, which can accelerate the synthesis of phospholipids, thereby speeding up cell repair and protecting the liver.

Moreover, magnolia root can lower uric acid and prevent gout. The combination of the two can better protect the liver.

Combination ② Dandelion + White Jasmine: Moisturizes the lungs and detoxifies.

"Take dandelion leaves and white jasmine in a ratio of 4:1 and mix them to make dandelion and white jasmine tea. Take 2-3g a day and brew it with hot water."

Dandelion has a good effect of clearing heat and relieving inflammation, and is very effective for chronic pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.

"White color enters the lungs", white jasmine flowers have a fragrance that enters the spleen, treats filth and dysentery, clears away internal heat, and removes cold accumulation. It has a stronger anti-inflammatory effect and is also effective in improving pharyngitis.

The combination of the two is a good combination for moistening the lungs and detoxifying.
