Stomach pain is a very common symptom. When it occurs, the patient will feel nausea and vomiting. If this is the case, it is best to go to the hospital for relevant treatment in time to avoid more serious consequences. This may cause a lot of complications, and this may be a series of symptoms caused by the disease of acute gastritis. 1. Acute gastritis It is an acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa caused by various reasons. The causes include bacterial infection, bacterial toxin contamination, viral infection, etc. Chemical factors such as taking aspirin, digitalis, butazone, ammonium chloride, quinine, anti-tumor drugs, indomethacin, etc. can cause gastric mucosal damage; dietary factors such as excessive drinking, overeating, too rough food, and stimulation of too cold or too hot food; physical factors such as foreign bodies in the stomach, gastric stones, and gastric radiotherapy. The onset of acute gastritis is usually rapid. Acute gastritis caused by bacteria or toxins contaminating food usually occurs within a few hours, usually not more than 24 hours. 2. Chronic gastritis It is mostly caused by incomplete treatment of acute gastritis. 3. Gastric and duodenal ulcers It is often related to seasonal changes, mental factors, improper diet, or a history of long-term use of ulcer-causing drugs such as aspirin. High mental stress and overexcitement of the vagus nerve can worsen ulcers and cause acute perforation. 4. Functional gastrointestinal disorders It is a functional disease of the stomach caused by factors such as cerebral cortex dysfunction and gastrointestinal motility disorders. It is a systemic disease. Dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system is often caused by various mental factors, such as excessive mental stress, long-term insomnia, unexpected misfortunes, etc. It is more common in young and middle-aged people, and more common in women than in men. The main manifestations are gastrointestinal secretion and motility disorders, often accompanied by systemic neurological symptoms such as stomach pain, abdominal distension, bitter taste in the mouth, bad breath, insomnia, diarrhea, frequent farts, distraction, palpitations, chest tightness, forgetfulness, and headache. Anger, tension, and anxiety can aggravate stomach pain. Stomachache is a non-specific symptom. Stomachache, also known as epigastric pain, refers to the disease symptoms of pain from the line connecting the lower edges of the ribs on both sides of the epigastric area to below the xiphoid process, near the heart. Characteristics of the disease: Most of the patients are middle-aged and young people, and most of them have a history of recurrent attacks. There are obvious triggers before the onset of the disease, such as weather changes, anger, fatigue, overeating, hunger, eating raw, cold, dry and hard food, spicy food, tobacco and alcohol, or taking drugs that damage the spleen and stomach. Common diseases include acute gastritis, chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, functional dyspepsia, gastric mucosal prolapse and gastric cancer. |
