Root canal treatment is a common method for treating dental diseases, but the process of expanding the root canal is rather complicated and takes a long time from treatment to completion, sometimes up to a month. The reason why it takes so long is that there are many steps in expanding the root canal and the cost is also relatively high. For us, teeth only grow once in a lifetime, so we must protect them in daily life and learn more about dental care knowledge. 1. Steps of root canal expansion Open hole type, connecting the entire medullary top. You can grind the root canal opening a little. Then, a 15-gauge needle was used to begin enlarging the root canal. Probe down, and when you encounter resistance, rotate half a turn clockwise and pull. The root canal is being ground during the lifting process. After that, when the patient feels a little pain, that is the location of the apical foramen. Don't go any deeper, you can use the reamer to grind the root canal. 2. Root canal treatment steps 1. If there is pus, it means that the pulp has been necrotic and has developed to the root apex, and it is in a more serious stage. The first visit should be aimed at "drainage" to relieve the inflammation around the root apex. The routine visit should be repeated in about 72 hours to continue the next stage of treatment. 2. If the symptoms are relieved and there is no obvious swelling, the tooth should be thoroughly de-rotted. If conditions permit, "root canal preparation" should be performed, that is, special instruments should be used to enter the root canal to remove the infected substances inside. After flushing, drugs should be sealed in the root canal and observed for 1-2 weeks. 3. Follow up visit again. If all symptoms disappear, there is no obvious discomfort when tapping the affected tooth, and there is no obvious dirt after opening the root canal, "root canal filling" should be performed, that is, the root canal cavity should be tightly sealed with gutta-percha to prevent reinfection (during this period, X-rays should be taken to determine whether the root filling is complete), and finally the tooth should be filled. This step must be performed at the right time. If it doesn't work, change the dressing. The number of times is positively correlated with the stubbornness of the inflammation. 4. After the root canal treatment, observe for 1-2 weeks. If there is no abnormality, you need to make a cap for the tooth to protect it and prevent it from being chipped when biting. 5. The total treatment time is about 1 month. If the tooth is severely damaged, you may need to drive a post (drive it into the root canal to strengthen the fixing of the filling material) when filling the tooth. Fiber posts are better, but the cost is also high. The implementation standards vary from place to place. Please consult your local doctor whether it is covered by medical insurance. |
