Damage to oral mucosa

Damage to oral mucosa

Damage or even shedding of the oral mucosa proves that the body is seriously lacking in vitamin B2, so you must eat more fruits and vegetables, pay attention to supplementing vitamin B2, pay attention to balanced nutrition, correct some bad habits, such as smoking, drinking, etc., and be careful not to use some inferior lip care products, such as lipstick, scrub, etc.

1. Prevention

Correct bad living habits, smoke less, drink less, do not use antibiotics at will, do not use inferior or unsuitable lipstick, and do not blindly get lip tattoos. Avoid factors that may cause allergic reactions. Change the habit of biting lips and tongue to avoid trauma to the oral mucosa. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits and protein-rich foods, and less sour, spicy, astringent, hot and fried foods.

2. Diet

should:

1. Pay attention to food diversification and ensure balanced nutrition;

2. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables to supplement vitamins, especially vitamin B2;

3. Eat more foods rich in high-quality protein to improve immunity;

4. Eat more foods rich in crude fiber to prevent constipation and prevent endocrine disorders that may induce oral ulcers.

avoid:

1. Avoid eating irritating condiments and spicy foods to avoid aggravating symptoms;

2. Avoid eating fried or grilled foods, as the heat in the body can aggravate the condition;

3. Avoid eating rough and hard foods to prevent friction and worsening of ulcer window bleeding.

How does oral mucosal shedding occur?

The shedding of oral mucosa is the result of severe deficiency of vitamin B, mainly B2. Just like deficiency of calcium will cause cartilage and deficiency of A will cause eye disease, the deficiency of certain vitamins will lead to corresponding diseases in related parts of the body. If the shedding of oral mucosa is a symptom of toothpaste allergy, there should be other lesions such as edema, ulceration, etc. If it is caused by other diseases, such as pemphigus, lesions in the relevant parts should be detectable.

White, hard raised patches on the oral mucosa: Patchy leukoplakia: White or grayish white, homogeneous, hard patches appear on the oral mucosa, with a tight texture, varying lesion shapes and areas, and slight elevations or unevenness. It is worth noting that there is no parallel relationship between the size of the lesion and the possibility of cancer. Sometimes cancer can occur even when the lesion is only the size of a grain of rice.

When the oral mucosa falls off, small milky white spots appear on the mucosa or the mucosa merges into pieces, which look like milk curds. The white film covers the oral mucosa and is not easy to wipe off. It appears in small flakes at first, then gradually merges into large flakes, shaped like milk.
