Radar radiation is harmful to the human body

Radar is a detection instrument designed based on the principle of bats. It mainly detects whether there are obstacles ahead based on changes in ultrasonic waves. The radar mainly uses different wavelengths of radar radiation during detection. Everyone should know that if a person is in a radiation environment for a long time, it will have a great impact on some cells in his body. So what kind of harm will radar radiation cause to the human body?

1. The harm of radar radiation to human body

It is difficult to measure how harmful radar radiation is at present, and it is not something that will affect human health overnight (if it does, it must be a psychological effect). Many people are often exposed to radiation but do not have any obvious problems. People who are frequently exposed to radiation may experience symptoms such as neurasthenia, insomnia, anemia, and hair loss, which are related to their personal resistance. However, most people who work in the field of microwaves do face a real problem when giving birth to girls. Because microwave signals have a selective killing effect on the Y chromosome, women who want to have children recently should avoid long-term microwave radiation.

2. Hazards of radar electromagnetic wave radiation

The harm of radar to human body is mainly the harm of electromagnetic wave radiation. The degree of harm of electromagnetic waves to the human body is mainly related to the strength of the electromagnetic field and the emission wavelength. The electromagnetic waves emitted by the radar are radiated through the antenna. Since the antenna has strong directionality, most of the emitted electromagnetic waves point in the main direction of the antenna. Therefore, the electromagnetic field strength is the strongest in the direction of the radar antenna. The closer to the antenna, the greater the field strength. Therefore, it is unwise to live in the main scanning direction of the radar.

The shorter the wavelength of the radar emission, the greater the harm to the human body. Centimeter-wave radar is more harmful to the human body, but there is basically no need to be afraid of meter-wave radar. I find it scariest to be near radar antennas and transmitters. The above are all microwave radiation. If you are close to the transmitter, there will also be X-ray radiation due to the presence of high-power radio frequency amplifier tubes inside the transmitter. The above is about active radar.
