Prostate cancer is a common tumor disease in men. According to statistics, in the United States, the incidence of prostate cancer ranks first among male tumors, accounting for 33% of male malignant tumors; there is no complete statistical data on the incidence of prostate cancer in China, but the incidence rate is showing a clear upward trend. Surgery is a common treatment for prostate cancer. Many prostate cancer patients do not achieve satisfactory results after surgery because they do not pay attention to postoperative recovery and conditioning. So, what should be paid attention to in the recovery and conditioning after prostate cancer surgery? Diet is extremely important in the postoperative recovery process of prostate cancer. You should choose various fish, shrimps, and animal livers, and eat them with green leafy vegetables. Various poultry can be combined with fungus and mushrooms to make nutritious soup for patients. Food should be soft, light, non-irritating, and easy to digest and absorb semi-liquid food or soft food, and small meals should be taken frequently. Drink less water moderately, and avoid smoking, drinking, and coffee. Urinary incontinence may occur after radical prostatectomy. In the early postoperative period, you can do anal lifting exercises, using enough strength to hold your pelvic floor muscles for a few seconds. The specific holding time should be based on what you can tolerate without being too uncomfortable. Generally, contract for 2 to 6 seconds, relax and rest for 2 to 6 seconds, tighten the pelvic floor muscles as long as possible, and repeat this 10 to 15 times. Train 3 to 5 times a day for more than 8 weeks. When urinating, artificially hold the urine flow and repeat the training. Patients who have undergone prostate cancer surgery should insist on taking part in appropriate physical exercise, which helps to slow down the spread of prostate cancer cells. Try to choose gentle exercise, such as fitness running, walking, various aerobics and exercise programs with ethnic characteristics, such as Tai Chi, Qigong, Ba Duan Jin, Wu Qin Xi, etc., which can improve blood circulation, make the secretion of prostate fluid more vigorous, and help the prostate inflammation subside. However, the amount of exercise should be controlled, not too intense, and should be gradual and persistent. Prostate cancer patients should have regular checkups after recovery to prevent recurrence of cancer. Patients should have a checkup every three months in the first year after surgery, every six months after the second year, and once a year after five years. If prostate cancer patients can achieve the above four aspects after surgery, they can maximize the efficacy and reduce the chance of recurrence and metastasis. |
