"Acne" is also known as acne. Although these small pimples are underestimated, they are a big deal that affects your face. This disease often occurs during adolescence, but it is not completely limited by age. People of almost all ages, from children to adults, can get the disease. In recent years, people have paid more and more attention to the role of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of acne. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the skin is the mirror of the five internal organs. For example, the face is the place where the essence of the internal organs rises. That is, the formation of acne is closely related to the internal organs. Traditional Chinese medicine research shows that although acne grows on the surface of the skin, it is closely related to internal organ dysfunction.

TCM's treatment of acne is guided by syndrome differentiation and is individualized. It often uses pure Chinese medicine concentrated pills developed by experts to regulate the function of internal organs, balance the body's yin and yang, and treat the cause from the inside out. The symptoms of acne vary, but they can all be treated with cupping therapy. When supplemented with targeted Chinese medicine to treat from the inside out, significant therapeutic effects can be achieved.

Cupping refers to a therapy that uses a cup as a tool to generate negative pressure by burning fire, pumping air, etc., so that the cup is adsorbed on the body surface, causing local blood stasis, in order to achieve the effects of dredging meridians, relieving swelling and pain, promoting qi and blood circulation, and dispelling wind and cold. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, acne is mostly caused by heat in the blood. Cupping combined with bloodletting treatment can clear away heat and toxins, remove dampness and dredge the meridians. Generally, after 2 to 3 treatments, the "fire" will disappear immediately and acne will gradually subside and disappear.

Cupping method for treating acne

1. Prepare 2 to 3 cupping cups.

2. Select 2 to 3 relatively large acne spots on the back, prick them with a three-edged needle (or an injection needle) to cause bleeding, and squeeze out a few drops of brown-brown blood. Stop squeezing when the squeezed blood turns bright red.

3. The method of cupping is to use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to wipe the inner wall of the cup, light a candle (or lighter), heat the inner wall of the cup, use the heat to expel the air in the cup, and then quickly buckle it on the selected part of the cup.

Note: Cupping time should not exceed 10 minutes. Generally, it is best to pull until the skin turns purple and red without blisters. If the time is too long, blisters and infections are likely to occur in hot weather. If there is no acne on the back, you can also cupping the lung point and spleen point.

Method of locating the Feishu point: The patient sits down, lowers his head, and touches a protruding cervical vertebra, which is the 7th cervical vertebra. Counting down 3 vertebrae is the 3rd thoracic vertebra, and 1.5 inches to the side is the Feishu point.

How to locate the Pishu point: It is located on the 11th thoracic vertebra, 8 vertebrae down from the Feishu point, and 1.5 inches to the side is the Pishu point.

Advantages and disadvantages of cupping Benefits of cupping:

1. Cupping can allow moisture and cold air in the body to penetrate through the skin tissue, thereby eliminating evil spirits and making people feel more energetic.

2. Because the body's meridians, acupoints and internal organs are all interconnected, the external suction force will stimulate the acupoints on the body's surface, and then through the tendons, bones and meridians, the internal organs of the human body will be adjusted accordingly, allowing the blood to flow smoothly and strengthening the body.

3. Cupping is also effective for local tissue damage, lumbar disc herniation and other symptoms. Long-term and regular cupping can relieve pain and alleviate symptoms.

4. Now, many beauty and slimming shops have also begun to research and launch methods of losing weight through cupping.

Disadvantages of cupping:

1. The time and interval of cupping must be carefully controlled. Some people enjoy the process and often cupping, which results in a bad skin condition, infection, and severe bruising.

2. For some patients with inflammation or bleeding diseases, cupping is not only unhelpful, but may even cause more destructive consequences.

3. After cupping, you must avoid taking a bath or catching a cold within a certain period of time, otherwise it will cause illness even if you are healthy, and even worse, it will aggravate your condition.
