Does a humidifier work?

The quality of life of modern people is getting higher and higher, and their demands on their lives are also getting higher and higher. With the development of modern science and technology, corresponding objects that improve people's quality of life are gradually invented. The humidifier is one of these inventions. Its main function is to humidify the air in a relatively dry environment, especially in an air-conditioned room. However, many people worry about whether the humidifier really works?

The role of a humidifier

With the advent of modern engineering design, a good environment brings benefits to the human body and products, and the control of the environment in factories, production workshops, warehouses, offices and homes is receiving more and more attention. For example: in winter, the indoor air is dry and the air humidity does not reach the standard humidity (40%RH-60%RH). The dry environment will cause water loss and accelerate the aging of life. Humidifiers can create ideal indoor humidity and protect the health of your family. Three basic methods of environmental control: 1. Air quality, 2. Temperature, 3. Relative humidity. Relative humidity is the most easily overlooked, and proper relative humidity control is also one of the important factors for energy saving and work efficiency of the factory.

Generally speaking, temperature has the most direct impact on people's perception of their living environment. Similarly, humidity can also affect people's lives and health. As people's living standards improve, air conditioners are widely used, leading to the breeding of air-conditioning diseases such as tight skin, dry mouth and tongue, coughs and colds. It has been scientifically proven that air humidity is closely related to human health and daily life. Medical research shows that when the room temperature reaches 45~65%RH and the temperature is between 20~25 degrees, the human body and mind are in the best condition, and ideal results can be achieved whether working or resting.

In fact, humidifiers have many wonderful uses. For example, adding a few drops of vinegar to the humidifier can have a sterilizing effect. Adding some lavender essential oil to a humidifier at night can improve sleep quality. Proper humidification in the room can effectively prevent wooden furniture from deforming and newly painted walls from cracking. In fact, there are many benefits, it all depends on how you use it.

How to use a humidifier

1. When using a humidifier, the higher the humidification volume is, the better. In fact, it should not be too low or too high. It should be maintained between 40~60%RH. The humidification volume of the humidifier should be controlled between 300~350 ml per hour.

2. Various humidifiers have different requirements for water quality. For example, pure water should be used for pure type humidifiers, pure water or distilled water is best used for ultrasonic humidifiers, and ordinary water can be used for electric heating type humidifiers.

3. The water in the humidifier tank may run out at any time and damage the machine by idling and burning. Therefore, try to use products with automatic water shortage protection function. At the same time, pay attention to the water level in the water tank and replenish it in time.

4. The water tank, energy conversion plate and other parts that are prone to scale should be cleaned once a week. Use soft cloth, soft brush and clean water to clean them. Do not use detergents, kerosene, alcohol, etc. to clean the body and parts. Do not use hard objects to scrape off scale to avoid damaging the machine parts.

5. It is best to place the humidifier on a flat surface 0.5~1.5m above the ground, away from heat sources and corrosive substances. It is strictly forbidden to touch the nozzle during use to avoid burns. If a fault occurs, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection and maintenance.

Also pay attention when using:

1. When using for the first time, leave the device at room temperature[3] for half an hour before turning it on.

2. The operating environment temperature is 10-40 degrees.

3. Use clean water with a temperature below 40 degrees.

4. Keep the machine away from other household electrical appliances when it is working.

5. Do not add additives that are not produced on professional production lines or supervised by the water.

6. Do not place the humidifier on hollow objects to avoid generating common frequency resonance noise

7. Do not start the machine without water. The ultrasonic humidifier uses a transducer to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, and uses an oscillation circuit to generate high-frequency oscillations of 1.7 million times per second to directly oscillate water into ultra-fine particles ≤5 microns, and then diffuse the water molecules into the surrounding air through a pneumatic device. When the transducer is working, scale is easily generated on its surface. If it is not regularly maintained and cleaned, the load on the transducer will increase during operation, indicating that the machine cannot work normally. It is recommended to use distilled water or purified water, which can effectively extend the service life of the machine.
