Why is my wrist itchy?

Why is my wrist itchy?

The human body is a circulatory, large-scale body system. Symptoms in different parts of the body will affect other parts and cause abnormal phenomena. Even if there is a small problem with the body, you should not take it lightly. It may be that the body is reminding you that you may have a related disease. The hands are generally considered to be an area connected to the heart, so when you experience itchy wrists, you should seek medical attention immediately to find out what is causing the itchy wrists.

Skin itching is actually a potential manifestation of a disease and should be paid attention to. It generally manifests itself in two symptoms: one is systemic skin itching and the other is localized itching. Some skin itching is related to physical constitution, while others are closely related to bad living habits, such as frequent use of skin cleansers such as soap or other facial cleansers.

1. If there are symptoms of systemic itching, it is usually accompanied by many other diseases, or some other primary symptoms, such as uremia, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, itching caused by malignant tumors, diabetes, and neuropsychiatric itching, etc., so it must be taken seriously. The external cause of systemic itching is related to environmental factors, such as humidity, season, and chemical stimulation in the working environment. Another external cause is related to topical medications. Some topical medications cause dry skin or decreased function.

Systemic itching symptoms are generally more common in adults. The itching starts from one place and then gradually spreads to the whole body. Patients with systemic itching should avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, and experiencing major mood changes, as these may accelerate the aggravation of the itching symptoms. Generally, this type of illness is paroxysmal and is most severe at night. If the itching persists and is accompanied by scratching, eczema-like changes, lymphadenitis or lymphangitis may sometimes occur. It generally has three clinical manifestations:

1. Senile pruritus.

The most common itch in senile pruritus is on the trunk. In most cases, the itching of the trunk is caused by dry skin and decreased sebaceous gland function. Female patients usually suffer from a syndrome after menopause.

2. Winter pruritus.

The most common clinical case is adults, and it also occurs in children but relatively rarely. Generally, this is caused by a sudden change in temperature, and people will experience itching symptoms when they enter a warm room.

3. Summer pruritus.

As soon as summer comes, we will sweat a lot more, so we often say that itching symptoms are caused by dampness and heat. Therefore, when the hot summer comes, we must pay attention to drink more water, eat less irritating and spicy food, and eat more food to remove dampness and heat.

2. The causes of localized itching symptoms are often almost the same as those of systemic itching, such as diabetes. The most common localized itching symptoms include anal pruritus, anal fistula, etc. The itching symptoms of female friends are generally related to vaginal trichomoniasis, abnormal leucorrhea, gonorrhea and cervical cancer. If it is scrotal pruritus, it is generally related to local fungal infection, sweating and friction.

1. Anal itching symptoms.

This type of patients are generally middle-aged men. The itching areas are usually the anus or the surrounding skin. If the condition is severe, it will spread to the scrotum. If the itchy area is scratched frequently, some secondary damage may occur.

2. Symptoms of scrotal itching.

This symptom usually only occurs in the scrotum, but sometimes it may also spread to the penis or anus. If you keep scratching, it may cause eczema-like changes or other secondary infections.

3. Symptoms of vulvar itching.

This symptom usually occurs in the labia majora and minora. If it is not controlled in time, constant scratching may lead to hypertrophy, redness, swelling and severe erosion of the vaginal mucosa.
