The human brain is mainly divided into the left brain and the right brain, and the symptom of migraine is pain in one side of the head, not the whole head. Moreover, migraine is a very common headache symptom in most people and is also a common headache disease. However, migraines can be complicated or uncomplicated. So, is migraine a serious phenomenon?

There are many factors that trigger migraines, which can be summarized into two categories: common and rare:

(l) Common triggers: 1. Mental factors: such as anxiety, anger, tension, anxiety or excessive sadness; 2. External physical stimulation: such as strong light, noise, odor, patterns, etc. 3. (2) Rare causes: high fever; excessive sleep; high altitude areas; excessive vitamin A; drugs: nitroglycerin, histamine, reserpine, hydralazine, estrogen; discontinuation of cortisone; cold food; abnormal reading and lighting; irritating odors, spices, organic solvents; fluorescence; allergic reactions.

If left untreated, a migraine attack can last for hours or even days. For patients with mild headaches, general analgesics can be effective. For more patients, severe headaches can affect their work. For those with nausea, vomiting or photophobia, general analgesics are difficult to work with, but the headaches can be relieved after a period of rest or sleep. Some migraine patients are irritable during an attack and often like to live alone or lock themselves in a dimly lit room.

Since many factors can induce migraine, we should pay attention to care in our daily life to avoid the invasion of these factors on the body. Being careful in daily life, regulating diet and emotions can prevent migraine attacks to a certain extent.

(I) Lifestyle adjustment for migraine

1. Pay attention to the influence of climate. Wind, dryness, humidity, storms, bright sunlight, cold, thunder and other climate changes can trigger migraine attacks. Pay attention to avoid wind and cold, keep warm, and avoid exposure to the sun and rain to prevent the induction of illness.

2. Pay attention to the effects of sleep, exercise or overwork, pay attention to regular sleep and exercise, strengthen work planning and organization, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, pay attention to eye adjustment, and protection is an important preventive measure for sensitive patients.

3. Pay attention to indoor ventilation and quit smoking and drinking.

4. Pay attention to the effects of drugs that may induce migraines, such as birth control pills, nitroglycerin, histamine, reserpine, hydralazine, estrogen, excessive VitA, etc.

(II) Dietary treatment for migraine

1. Foods that cause migraines are mainly:

(1) Foods high in tyramine, such as coffee, chocolate, and dairy products.

(2) Animal fats account for 49.8% of all food factors that induce migraines. Strictly controlling this food can prevent migraine attacks.

(3) Alcoholic beverages: especially red wine, white wine, lemon juice, citrus fruits, ice cream, etc.
