Can I eat mangoes when I have chickenpox

Chickenpox, also known as smallpox, is a very serious infectious disease. In ancient times, people with smallpox needed to be isolated. And if you had chickenpox in ancient times, you would die soon. So if you have chickenpox, you must be isolated first to avoid the spread of chickenpox. Pay attention to disinfecting the parts where chickenpox has grown. So, can you still eat mangoes if you have chickenpox?

Patients with chickenpox can eat mangoes. Mango is known as the king of fruits. It is rich in many vitamins and various trace elements. These ingredients are very helpful in treating and preventing chickenpox and its complications. The vitamins in it can shorten the incidence period of chickenpox. Therefore, patients with chickenpox can eat mangoes. You can also eat other fruits at the same time.

Should be avoided. Chickenpox is a self-limiting disease that can heal itself. When chickenpox occurs, be careful not to scratch it with your hands, otherwise it will easily induce infection and leave scars. Take a bath with warm water every day and apply acyclovir ointment locally. It will usually be basically cured in about a week. You should avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and other adverse stimuli.

Chickenpox is an infectious disease caused by a virus. Generally, the course of the disease takes 1-2 weeks. It is recommended to actively use antiviral drugs for treatment. If there is local itching, it is recommended to apply acyclovir ointment and take oral antihistamines.

The varicella virus exists in the respiratory tract of early patients and is mainly transmitted through saliva droplets. The disease can also be transmitted by contact with the patient's clothing, toys, utensils, etc. Generally, the patient is contagious from one day before the rash appears to five days after it appears or until the rash is completely scabbed and dry. The incubation period of this disease is about 2-3 weeks. At the beginning, patients may have symptoms such as mild fever, general discomfort, loss of appetite, cough or mild diarrhea, which are often not taken seriously. Suggestions: The rash begins to appear at the same time as the fever or 1-2 days after the fever. The rash first appears on the trunk and head, gradually extends to the face, and finally reaches the limbs.

The rash is mostly distributed on the trunk in a centripetal distribution, and progresses from macules->papules->blisters->starts to form scabs, with the shortest development taking about 6-8 hours. The rapid development of the rash is one of the characteristics of this disease. The blisters are slightly oval, of varying sizes, and superficial, as if floating on the surface, often accompanied by itching, making the patient irritable and restless. Generally, within 1-3 days, the herpes will begin to dry and form a scab from the center, and after a few days, the scab will fall off on its own, leaving no scars. Because the rash appears in batches, different stages of rash can be seen existing simultaneously in the root of the disease, one after another and unevenly.

The symptoms of chickenpox in adults are more severe than those in children, including persistent high fever, severe systemic symptoms, and fused rash. Complications such as hepatitis and pneumonia are common and should be paid attention to. The treatment is mainly symptomatic. If the itching is more severe, phenergan can be taken orally and calamine lotion can be applied topically. If the herpes has ruptured, 1% gentian violet can be applied. If there is a secondary bacterial infection of the skin, tetracycline ointment or antibiotics can be used topically.
